Got in pretty quick. Took a while earlier though. Probably just getting high traffic.

Got the email to say I've been provisionally awarded and to send the course acceptance form!
So, that should be a definite yes then?
I had some issues before with the grant when doing my BA, over my status as an independent. I explained all of this in the application, and was very clear about the issues in the past. If any of this was a problem, I presume that they would have let me know at this point rather than provisionally award it?

Early/mid August was when I sent off all the supporting documents...can't remember exact date it was that long ago.

Am wondering, does anyone know how long it should take after this, when they get the course acceptance form?

my son sent completed registration form back in early Sept, we have still not heard a single word from SUSI, we initially reg back in June, sent in support docs on the first week of August and registration form the first week of Sept. Was just reading an old newspaper about how this new system will help speed up things! Hello!! dont think so!

You could be a very long time waiting, they are not looking at anything sent after August at all until everything is sorted for the people that got them in on time.

There is hope! I called today. I sent my final acceptance form on the 12 Sep. The woman on the phone told me I have been awarded, earlier today in fact, so I should expect a letter in the post.

However this leads me to question. The adjacent and non-adjacent rate. Which one applies to me?
My situation is I applied on the UCAS to do 4th year in Uni; still a under-grad, i am living over here now and will have my letters posted to me over here.
I presume they take my Irish address as calculating the adjacent and non adjacent rates?!???

It would be based on your permanent residence in Ireland

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

That's different, sorry. You should hear back before the end of October. I thought you meant you sent your documents (Proof of living in Ireland etc) in September.

On another note, I got my grant today, I've entered the bank details and I'm awating my first payment, I get my student card tomorrow :D

There is an option when you log into grantsonline.ie on the left hand side.

I noticed it a few days ago and when I clicked it, it said I didn't have the correct permissions. I just after trying it there and It now gives me the option to enter my bank details.

I don't know weather to take that as a sign of luck

The letter I got says you can only enter your details if you have been awarded the grant so yes.

Yeah I did, but it says nothing about how much or how many payments there are, it just says the total payment for the accademic year.

Nice one, sound for the feedback. Hopefully I get a letter soon then. Would lift so much stress from my shoulders.

Letter with amount I'll get received, bank details put into the SUSI website as requested, yet they still don't know the first or subsequent payment dates.

Can I ask, does it state on your letter that you only get access to the bank details page if you have been awarded the grant?

It says something along the lines that if you enter your bank details and you havent been awarded an grant you wont get any money, sounds silly i know
