They say the id numbers can be found on the attached web page, but there aren't any... soooo close...

That list has been used in previous years but I'd imagine it's been gotten rid of with the new system. It was only a provisional list anyway (probably why they've gotten shot of it). I got my email last year around 6pm or so.

"The formal offer will follow over the next few days and will include details of the room type being offered."

    Sometime soon it seems!

are you certain? hit ctrl+f and type yours in. you may have missed it.

if yours is definitely not there, i think there may be a second round but you should start looking for private accommodation anyway.

I'm with my phone so i cant press ctrl+f. Is it normal that some first years dont get in halls?

I'd get to a computer before despairing, it can be hard to see the numbers on the list. Although, yes unfortunately, not everyone gets in.

December...I can get in to 2 of the clubs where I live with the help of my friend's ID, but they're easy to get in to! I doubt Dublin clubs are too easy to get in to!

Yeah I doubt they are :/ I know some people going to college who won't be 18 until May!

If one of the places is Tramco then they'll honestly let anyone in. Ridiculously lax.
But, yeah be prepared for almost every Halls event to be centred around alcohol and going out, just a heads up :P

I got a room! But. I had no idea the single modern rooms were way more expensive than the shared apartment modern rooms when i was doing the application, gonna try and get my preferred room type changed to shared apartment before the offers. Anyone know if thats possible or has anyone been able to get their application changed?

Started panicking a bit when I saw I didn't get an email and then I couldn't find my number on the list for ages, but I got in ^_^ Now I just need to find out where I'm actually staying...

I've got a room, but i swear they said they'd email us before 5pm, which is a bit annoying, but never mind i'm very happy :)
Is there any information on activities on freshers week? all my other friends seem to know loads about theirs and getting wristbands and everything (in the uk)

Halls isn't the be all and end all of making friends in college, the vast majority of people I socialise with in college weren't in Halls, and even the people who did live there, I met in college or through other people. Don't worry about that at all. :)
