You've convinced me lads, JCR sounds gooood :D

Just tried to pay for my accomm + jcr membership but it keeps telling me my card details are incorrect (even though they aren't ofcourse). Has anyone managed to successfully pay with the AIB merchant on the accommodation website today?

I had problems paying online with my card online last year too, but what I ended up doing was ringing the reception and paying over the phone by giving them the details. The person in charge of that won't be there right now however so your best bet is to ring tomorrow sometime after 10am.

Get used to it with Trinity, nothing's ever simple. :/

House 80 last year was very Health Sciences, lots of people doing med, nursing, pharmacy etc. It's also right beside the Warden's house.

If paying by laser card you may hit a 1000 euro per transaction per day limit.

In that case you might have to make several transactions, its a banking issue not TCD per say

If credit card check with bank as they are known to block transactions when they see several to the same company in a short period of time

How much was the insurance and is a laptop included in the figure or do you have to take out extra insurance?

It was around €130, and laptop was extra - basic insurance was €30, then adding my laptop and phone in and out of accommodation was the extra €100

There are full length mirrors in the bedrooms and of course mirrors in the bathrooms. You also have a corkboard that you can pin stuff on, and though you're technically not meant to have things stuck to the walls, if you're careful not to piss off the inspection staff and don't take paint off the walls, you can work away really.
