Does anyone know the myth/saying when a bird hits off your kitchen window?

According to my auntie, a bird hit off her kitchen window this morning and she thinks it's a sign of death coming to the door.

I think it's just a myth and doesn't mean anything, but maybe I am wrong.

Ah of course it's a myth. It just means there's at least one blind/uncoordinated bird flying around.

I caught my finger in the car window, it hurts

    OW OW OW!

I remember doing that to my granny once many years ago:

She was in the habit of grabbing the door pillar to haul herself out of the car. I had got out of the back of the car and closed the door but it wouldn't close properly. So I tried closing it again and again...

Poor granny couldn't get a sound out to tell me to stop until my mum noticed. Her poor fingers were all squeezed between door and frame...

Unfortunately it does mean that death is coming. A bird that is that impaired won't survive for very long. :pac:

But seriously, just a myth. Like how seeing a spider means that you're going to get money.

If you wake up to a knock on the window it's a sign of death. I've woken up to a knock on the window twice in the past and people I know have died shortly after. Never heard of the bird thing.

That being said one of them was sick at the time, can't recall who the second one was but I remember the knock and the death. It's possible both were sick and it was a sub-concious thing as I know of the myth. But VERY loud knocks, very startling and very, very creepy when you're in an upstairs bedroom...

You only live once. It's a stupid phrase that's going around atm because Drake started some twitter trend. As one of my friends said: "Did people think that we had multiple lives before Drake started YOLO"

Despite the crap result of the football, I had a really enjoyable evening.

One of the girls off my course text me saying they were having beers at hers if I wanted to join them. She always asks when I'm staying the weekend which is dead sound of her so I decided to go this time. It was just four of us and her parents. Her Dad is a chef and he made the most amazing chile con carne, garlic bread and wedges. We had beer and I talked to her parents about music for most of the night. I relate to older people better so I really enjoyed talking to her parents! They said they enjoyed my company and would welcome me back anytime!

I love impromptu evenings like that.

    Shiny new thread!

Well this weekend was pretty fun, if messy! Headbanging to AC/DC may have occurred! My boyfriend is sick with a cold, poor thing is going on like he has pneumonia or something! And I'll probably get it soon too

The Lovely Muffin, I had a rotten tummy bug last week, only for one day though  Hope you feel better soon. There are definitely a few bugs doing the rounds.
