I would imagine they will fit us in betwen Manchester and Munich

Just my thinking. Basically exactly 3 years since their last O2 gig!

Why would they hold back from announcing it now?

    Hmm... Wouldn't mind seeing them.

Hopefully! If not I will be heading to the UK.. Their last gig in the o2 in Dublin was unreal

Tickets aint onsale until next Friday, I'd expect Mcd to build this up saying "big announcement coming" and announce Irish dates between today and Tuesday. Its always the way they market their "big" gigs

This happens a lot and they are usually announced later on, what do they wait?

Would love to see Muse live.

    Unfortunately not yet.. =(

Will they bring Biffy Clyro with them if they do come? Or will they have someone else on tour with them this time?

Biffy are imo too big for supporting Muse these days unless it's at a festival.

While we're on the subject, what's your favourite ever Muse support band you've seen live?

Saw Coldpkay support Muse back in 2000 in London when I was 14 but it's a toss up between JJ72 and My Vitriol

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 285 ✭✭lisaj

I listened to my JJ72 album there a few weeks ago. Forgot how good they were.

Must give it a spin soon, been waaaaay too long, them and Muse soundtracked my formative years of teenage angst!

Would be Biffy for me, although I was already a huge fan of them at the time, so its not like I discovered them at the gig. That was Wembley 2010.

Has to be these guys in Marlay Park few years ago

I've never seen them live, I'd say they're awesome!

I would have thought so too, but weren't they out supporting Muse in England last year? That's the only reason I asked. =P

Edit: Was two years ago now I think. =P

I remember skipping them, grabbing my then underage cousin some beers and bumping into load of people from back home...good times.

    For shame Mushy!!!!!!........................skipping Kasabian :p

That Kasabian and Muse gig was awesome. But we did have one of the worst bands I have ever seen live open that day. Fudging Glasvegas.

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 188 ✭✭KnowYourEnemy

Marlay gig was very good, the light show SPECTACULAR!

Anyone here at The Button Factory (Temple Bar Music Centre) show back in May 2000? They supported Elastica and there were about 40 people there. Greatest night of my life!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,175 ✭✭✭StaticAge11

Nothing will ever top the support for the last gig 3 years ago in the O2, they were unreal, so good I cannot even name them!

Could'nt agree more , Glasvegas are one of the worst bands and never seen the big deal about them

Seriously the lead singer has not got a note in his head!

Anyway still raging Muse didn't come with Biffy last tour (Oxegen aside). But really hope something gets announced soon. Nothing better than a Muse indoor show, visuals do be the best of any band I have seen

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 188 ✭✭KnowYourEnemy

Glasvegas are alrite, that 'Geraldine' song was decent

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,017 ✭✭✭the_doctor199

I enjoyed Rodrigo y Gabriela when they supported, something a bit different to Muse. Kasabian day was a good one too though.

Noisettes probably sit at the bottom of the list, they were absolutely horrendous.

What you did there...I see it!

Furious, I'm not that big a Kasabian fan so I don't really mind. I know our paths will cross again sometime.

THink I'm gonna go to Hamburg to see them. Seems to be a trate of the last year that some bands are leaving out Ireland on their tours.

There's still plenty of space in their schedule and plenty of time to announce the dates. I'd say MCD are waiting to announce the dates after the Westlife/Red Hot Chili Peppers/Phoenix Park Gigs between now and mid july.

That could happen, if they play the O2 in November, I'd imagine they will announce it in mid-July, which is around the time they announced RHCP last year. I've noticed a pattern with Irish gigs in the autumn that they go on sale about 4 months in advance.

If no date is announced by that stage I wouldn't hold my breath for an Irish Muse gig this year.

Still think Muse will headline Slane in 2013

AC/DC perhaps for their 40th anniversary.

I don't think Muse would sell out Slane unless they have a huge support, and right now my expectations are low for their next album.

Yea suppose we may start thet ACDC for Slane thing again ha (Hopefully its finally time for them to play) Yea Muse wont sell out Slane sure they didnt sell out Marley Park few years ago(although it did sell well and probably close to sell out , but Slane is over twice as big)

    Bet we'll hate it
Muse are set to debut their brand new single, 'Unsustainable', tomorrow (June 27) evening on BBC Radio 1, reports Muselive.com.

The station will premiere the track at 7.30pm (BST) on Zane Lowe's show. The track is rumoured to be linked to the Olympics. For more information visit bbc.co.uk/radio1.

Muse recently unveiled the trailer for their new studio album. To watch the trailer, which ends with the words 'The 2nd Law' and 'September 2012', scroll down to the bottom of the page and click.

The band's new album is the follow-up to 2009's 'The Resistance' and has been recorded in London. Little has been revealed about the album so far, but bassist Chris Wolstenholme previously said that the band wanted to do "something radically different" on their new LP.

The Devon trio will play five shows across the UK in October. The gigs begin at Glasgow's SECC on October 24, before the band move onto London's O2 Arena for two shows on October 26 and 27. They then play Birmingham LG Arena on October 30 before finishing up at Manchester Arena on November 1.

I don't like the almost dubstep-like influences there at the end of that clip. =/
