Good to see competitions like this but why not 7s. Surely with olympics etc it would be better to have a 7s competition.
Shame they will not have the A/B schools in same competition as C schools

At least there's the Umbrella 7's in Terenure on Saturday.

Jes and Marist should go through with Marist overall favourites.

    What about Munster Schools?

    bridge going for the points.

bridge dominated territory so far, so really need to convert this to have something to show for all their effort.

    7 - 3.

    Healy converts.

lovely kickoff, micheals claim. clever kick through by gilsenan just squirts out. lineout to bridge inside their 22.

not taken cleanly again., cleared but micheals lineout inside 22

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 1,664 ✭✭✭opinionatedfan

penalty to micheals in from the side, byrne going for 3.

not the best angle for a right footed kicker and missed.

    7 - 3 to Micheals.

    17 minutes gone.

good work by newbridge, penalty just inside micheals half, healy going for 3 points.

    very far out, just missed

    7 - 3 to Micheals.

    overthrown and micheals have.

inside the 22 now, but again some good defence causes a penalty to be given away.

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 1,664 ✭✭✭opinionatedfan

bridge number 8 off for blood sub.

bridge kick, fails to find touch.

byrne passing very flat and finally clever kick behind the defence leads to lineout to bridge inside their 22.

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 1,664 ✭✭✭opinionatedfan

    micheals disrupt and steal.

great drive by murphy and it goes wide again. 5m out.

Was it a fair result? Hearing that Munchins were very upset about poor time keeping, any truth in this?

    any standouts?
I have no idea at all about schools rugby, I didn't go to any of the major rugby schools up home so never really cared.

Just saw the news on my facebook. Usually watch the final on tv on St Pats day if I have the time.
