He seemed to have about of energy and direction about him. Hope he makes it into a business - in 20 years he'll be Bill Cullen writing not about toffee apples but "****e boxes I started selling, look at me now".

I don't know why he didn't just have patience. Just keep on at what he was doing now and wait another few years improving his skills and then look to having his own garage. His venture he was on about was too risky in far too many aspects. I hope he took peoples advice on here as it was only sound advice.

Jesus he came and went like a whirlwind. Tad naive with his young years but busting with enthusiasm. Fair funks to him. I hope he does well

fair nuts to him, good enthusiasm, but very naieve. it was dodgy now in all fairness. nobody likes buying a lemon and he was a lemon pusher.

if he's like the rest of the crowd he'l be back in a fortnight with a new username anyway, and i for one hope he does, he was always up to something interesting but not neccessarily legit.

What wasn't legit about it? He was buying cheap cars that were working or needed a few things and selling them on cheap. He's only like 20 years of age making a few quid. I never had a problem with it in fairness.

Fair point, but the chances are he sold it to someone who was going to fix it up properly and then sell it on again for a bigger profit than cgal made.

to be fair i think that is unlikely.

i'd say the wool was pulled over somebodys eyes and they are going to get at best a nasty expensive bill at NCT time or at worst a face full of steering wheel in an accident God forbid. lets be somewhat realistic.

Its not my place to say though, i also dont feel he should have closed his account. just toned it down a notch. if your reading cgal, come back.

Lads it's not really fair to be talking about the man when he's not here to defend himself ;)

I'd say it's actually very likely that this happens on a regular basis in Ireland. People buying super cheap cars because they drive a hard bargain or have the contacts. They then sell to someone who has better knowledge but still believes they are getting a cheap car. These people then enjoy their banger or try to fix it and sell for more.

I doubt cgal pulled the wool over anyone's eyes, and it's not nice to say that about him when he isn't here to defend himself. Also buying a car for €300 is going to need work either way so you can probably expect a nasty bill at NCT time anyway.

I'm not getting into all that. i just doubt the conversation went like :

buyer : "is there anything i should know about with this car"
cgal : " actually, yeah, i only paid half the current asking price for it last night and i disconnected the airbag warning light in the meantime"

if you were going to be honest about it there would be no need to remove/ deactivate it. i'l leave it at that. i promise.

Only debs I ever went to where to do lights accompanying the DJ, still glad about that.
Myself and my DJ mate had some great times laughing at how stupidly wild some debs got. We figured out how to set them off with music as lights too, it was fun.

A sad day yesterday for a mate of mine. He went joy riding in his mothers BMW with a few friends of his. He hit a tree and one of his friends was killed in the car crash. A lad of 17. Who I was talking to on a night out a few nights ago, He had his leaving cert done last June and had his whole life ahead of him. R.I.P. But I feel a lot more sorry for my mates parents. :(
