No updates on 3 yet. There were always a few months behind on the SGII too.

I let my phone fall yesterday and cracked all one side of the screen :(

Does anyone have any idea how much it will cost to replace it.

    It's HTC One V.

Have my HTC One a few weeks now on 3.

Anyone else have an issue with the location on HTC clock? It always says "My Location". Could of sworn it said Dublin at some point. Same was happening for a friend of mine on vodafone but an update a week or 2 ago seem to sort it out.

Have the very same problem and it's doing my head in trying to fix it ...

Have my phone just over a week now and for the first few days it was fine, it would display whatever town or city I was in. Then over the week end I noticed it would just say "my location". Sometimes when I've wifi switched off and I'm using mobile data it will say the county I'm in.

Not a major problem but it did work correctly for the first few days so I know it can work and would like to find a fix...

Guys for the clock location problem, try rebooting the phone with fast boot unticked, resolves it most of the time

Tried that and still have location problem. Under "settings", "location" I have four options all are checked expect "GPS satellites". Within the weather app settings there is an option called "My current location" and my phone has this unchecked. Would these settings be similar to your set up?

    Thanks,
    Doney84

That's the same as what I have. Do you have any problem getting your location in maps?

Funnily enough, when I'm at work, it says my location is Rathmines, when I go home, it just says Dublin....nothing more specific than that.

When I go into maps it asks me to switch on GPS & wifi for a more exact location. If I skip this step, I say the pointer in maps is about a mile off where I am. If I enable GPS it's pretty much exact.

When I first got the phone when I was at home it would display the name of the village I live in. All of a sudden it just says "Louth" as my location. Last night the weather widget did briefly display my village name twice but then reverted back to "Louth".

I have noticed if mobile data is off & I'm using wifi I get "My Location" on the weather widget. Therefore I'm thinking the location data may come from the mobile mast I'm connecting to???

Have sent HTC an email regarding the issue and I'm waiting for a response...

The location data comes from your wifi connection if connected to wifi, the mast location if connected to a mobile network and the GPS location if GPS is enabled.

It's my understanding that the wifi location will only show if Google location services is enabled.

Try the long boot up again with "My current location" checked in the weather app settings.

Have Google location services enabled, wifi on & mobile data off and weather widget is showing "My Location". When I open the weather app and refresh it, I get an error message saying it can't contact the location service and its unable update my current location.

Just use it out of the box until it starts to go flat, and charge as normal. No need to do any of these old school rituals of turning off and charging for 8 hours or anything like that.

Bit of a wierd one for you guys.

Brand new HTC One connected via Wifi (in work so I know its not a Wifi issue as I can browse internet and watch videos on my PC and phone fine) trying to download an app on the Play Store.

Its a 2MB app and it was downloading brutally slow, it looked like 6kb per minute!! I turned off my Wifi and switched to GSM and boom 5seconds and its done, any ideas??

I''m connected to mobile data and it shows "Limerick". If I disable Google Location Services it instantly displays "My Location". If I re-enable Google Location Services and agree to the disclaimer it instantly displays "Limerick"

It says in the docs to charge it fully out of the box. I went with the docs. Think it took an hour or two, as they come partly charged.

Cool thanks ... I'll get back on to HTC cos mine won't work when mobile data is switched off & wifi is turned on.

When you disabled and then re-enabled Google location services did you restart your phone?

The cameras second screen affect is the funniest thing I've seen in ages. The one that distorts the face!

Power Toggles from the play store.

You can download an app called notification toggle from the play store. Imo it's the best off them and highly configurable
