Yeah but he got all the way to the end of BLOPS1 despite the notable handicap of being dead.
So I wouldn't write him off just yet.

Treyarch are not renowned for their visuals - it seems they have one art designer and he only knows one colour - brown. Forget about gameplay for a second, I think IF always produced the game that was easier on the eyes. I remember MW2 wasn't all bad for what it was....then BLOPS came. It was such a drastic step down graphically I can still recall everyone on here in total confusion as to what they were looking at.

IF was using IW4 or something for MW2 while Treyarch continued with a modified version of an earlier engine for BLOPS - it showed. That's my opinion. Expect two colours in this game - brown and black.

I dont get the point in releasing that image, dosent rope ya into the hype of it atall! Might aswell have showed a hallway image. Seems to show an Ir scope on a sniper, nothing new, nothing interesting. Still looking forward to the world reveal however..

Cod graphics are crap in comparison to other games anyway. I don't think many buy it for the graphics.

That's true, but at the same time, the graphics of Black Ops on certain maps were depressing!

BLOPs could have definitely benefited from a bit of colour, the art direction as a whole is just dull and washed out. For the most part the graphics on BLOPS (360) seem fine to me, it's typical COD stuff. The only thing that sticks out is when I see the attack Helicopter kill-cam, it's shockingly poor and like something you'd see back when the first graphics card came out on PC.

I wouldnt say theyre crap, the framerate is still better than the majority of console fps, the engine does need an overhaul though, or a new engine altogether.

I still think the helicopter gun sounds are like a printer with a paper jam. shockingly bad sound design in that game
