So you'll be 4 weeks early next time? :P

    There'll be more meets ;)

    +1

The plan is to build on this. And unfortunately a good few of the regular attendees couldn't make it today.

That's strange. Was it near Borris-in-Ossery by any chance?

If it was my guy came to your rescue :D
I have no idea; somewhere before Monasterevin (maybe before Ballydavis). It probably was :D

Whilst I was waiting, I took some long exposure shots of the traffic: http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?p=76653332

I left the same time as them. I'm happy I turned off for carlow and not in their direction. One or two of them are what gives enthusiasts a bad name. Sideways takeoff of a Nissan was pathetic when he was leaving.

The funny thing was, conzy's e46 put most of them to shame with the noise, seriously making me look at them differently now...

I took it for a spin after you left, I'm not sure did Metzy / conzy recover yet :D I kept waiting for a massive spike in torque though, was strange... thanks for that conzy, very enjoyable!

Very subtle car. Impeccibly well kept too.

In all fairness, how the hell he managed to keep a black car clean is beyond me. There was one splash of dirt on the car, and I doubt I'd make it out my driveway without doing that to it.

I vote for him showing everyone how to clean cars in future! Not how to drive though, he drives like a girl :D

/edit: Saw an octavia with fake plates on the way back too, knew something looked weird about it. Motorchecked when I got back,

Report that one lad. Ffs, like there's not enough of them to find a matching one.

The 325i was a nice buy, another mint car from today.

Got anything to back up that claim about my driving?? :P If you're talking about my car, it's due to smooth power delivery THROUGHOUT the rev range. If you're talking about EPM's car it's because it wasn't warmed up and I was being very careful. That's more than can be said for you driving poor conzy's car!

The reason that octavia you saw looked weird is because it was a Transit!

Looking forward to the next meet, I'll definitely be putting my hand up for spins.

Could be anywhere by now tbh - and IMO the likelyhood of anything being done about it is minimal if I'm honest.

I'm out of practice with petrols :p

And you had nothing bad to say in my car, or maybe I couldn't hear you over the engine / wipers? :pac:

Something looked "off" about it, probably because it was an early looking octy body and the 06 plates for a start, then it was driving about 20km/h...

Had a great day! Everyone I spoke to was sound, had a great chat with challengemaster, epm, and meister, spoke to marlow and falcon, paulkk and sean1141 the guy in the white GTI from limerick and the guy in the red civic, then talked to poor johnos about his passat and also realised that "gary" from work is Gary ITR :D

    Highlights:

    The sound of the Dodge!
    All the jap scrap arriving
    The pimped out Opel Vivaro
Enjoying the 6 pot sound with EPM, cm and meister
Finally getting in out of the cold

Some great cars on display and I would definitely be up for a monthly meet. midway is handy but would be nice to move around the country a bit too

My legs are in bits ha!

Nah, I just don't like saying bad stuff to someone about their pride and joy but trust me, I would say it to you :P

Sadly, I forgot to take most of the shots in auto, so they came out a bit too bright. Here's the not bright ones:

bright but photoshopped the brightness down a tad:

    Yeah but I get my 7 driving at a steady 100kph.... On a track I reckon I'd get 1 :D

Hehehehehe. Either that, or you wouldn't get far. Well, you wouldn't get far anyhow. As you were saying. Handling isn't the greatest when it's not in a straight line.

Not at all! Atleast you got sorted pretty quickly!

The reason your having problems is because its two different passats welded together, look!
