The less said about that game the better I feel. The only thing I'd say is that we have to stop abandoning the run when we go a few scores down. I have faith on Flacco, but it just puts needless pressure on him. Rice is a monster, give him the ball!

Also Suggs was magnificent, for someone who wasn't expected back until December to play most of the game at that level was unbelievable. Legend.

The bye week has come at a good time, we have 2 weeks to sort out the issues, followed by two winnable games.

Suggs is back and is ballin

Webb is done for the year :(

Lewis is on IR but can be activated in December but tbh I think he's done for the year also

    Michael McAdoo is on IR

Tommy Streeter picked up a mysterious injury that only happens at the end of training camp to high potential rookies ;)
This mysterious injury also put Damian Berry RB on IR ;)

David Reed started the season on PUP. This last 6 weeks. He has until Week 9 and then the team must either activate him (and so cut someone else) or cut Reed or put him on IR.
    IR beckons I think

Ngata is healing up this week, bye week came at a good time. Rest easy big man

Ryan McBean NT is on IR. He was signed from the Broncos and our boardsie for the Broncos spirialism assures me he is trash and no loss

Also on IR is Emmanual Cook SS who was signed from the Jets last season and did special teams with the odd snap on D. Not a huge loss

Finally Ricky Brown LB is on IR and tbh I don't know anything about him. He's bounced around a few teams, Raiders, Patriots and now in Baltimore

    That's about it

What do you all think for the Browns game this weekend? Coming off a bye especially I think we'll have too much for them, but it will be a typical AFC North game. Plenty of field goals and tough D. I think we'll use Rice a lot more this gameweek.

    Ravens by a touchdown. :D

Hopefully the Ravens can get back to winning ways this weekend. I think they will.
Looking forward to seeing more of Terrell Suggs.

I want to see our run defense fixed!

Yeah get the win but I'll be disappointed if we give up more then 100 yds rushing

And Browns are very run heavy so it's a good test

Bobbie Williams has been a disapointment and an expensive one at that

Ramon Harewood did ok, he's been in the league three years but realy he's a rookie, he was injured last two years.
He will develop and get better

The rumor mill has Jah Reid for left guard this week, he has been practicing for it

    120675413_display_image.jpg?1312963412jah-reid.jpeg

    6 ft 7 in, 324 lbs,

This could mean good things for our run game!

Good little watch on the below link, Biscotti talks about Flacco and how Ozzie and co convinced him they should get Joe rather than ''giving away the whole draft'' to get Matt Ryan, as Steve wanted:

    It's Steelers weekend!!!!!!

How do you all see this one going?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 12,395 ✭✭✭✭mikemac1

Jah Reid did a fine job in Oakland, he can be our new left guard. :)
Sorry Bobbie Williams, you're washed up

    Prediction time

    Ravens 13
    Steelers 10

    Yes, as low as that!
Nervous, tight and edgy. AFC North football!

Ray Rice with 1 TD following a monster block by Leach, best fullback in the league!

Tucker, the kicker with the most swagger in the league  gets two FG's

Ravens passing offense is pathetic all game until Boldin shows some leadership in the 3rd quarter. He steps up when things look bad

Ike Taylor to lock down Torrey Smith, sorry but he's a quality cornerback

Heath Miller will score 1 TD, Ravens has a serious problem with TE's in the middle of the field :(

Leftwich will be sacked 6, yes 6 times :pac:

Suggs will get player of the game with 2 sacks, 1 forced fumble, 2 batted down passes and 2 tackles for loss.
He eats quarterbacks for a living :D

Casual fans will look on and say 13-10 pathetic game but those of us who love the AFC North would not have it any other way ;)

We know there is nothing greater then well executed sacks, brutal hits and furious defense

No Big Ben for the Steelers so that can only be good news from a Ravens point of view.
Will not get to see the game tonight as I am up early in the morning.
I think the Ravens have a great chance.

Fair play Mike on calling the score. I hope you had some money on the game.
I am looking forward to watching the game later.
Sounds like the Ravens defence were brilliant again.

The defence played well, but I think with Big Ben in there it would have been a different story. That said, some of the players were magnificent, Kruger and Pollard especially.

It was a good, solid win but it really shows us that we need to push on and secure home advantage. The offenses never really got going and we've seen that far too often on the road this year. Solid defence and special teams TDs won't be enough for a deep playoff run.

We have to be praying for a first round bye. I think the Broncos will win all their remaining games except ours, and though I don't actually think we'll do it, we have to be favoured in every non-Broncos match. That one could be huge. Our chances are very slim if we have to go to NE, Denver or Houston in the playoffs.

And I think the 1 game suspension on Reed is fair. He is a repeat offender. I don't think he's dirty, I think he's just trying to protect his shoulder, which at least will have a couple of weeks to heal.

Tampa is iffy. I'd be surprised if we didn't win the other 4. Week 15 @ M+T will be critical in playoff seeding. Hope it gets flexed to reflect the status of the game

Fingers crossed it's flexed, it would be bonkers occur wasn't.

So it's the Chargers against the Ravens tonight. I have not seen the Chargers play yet. What are they like.
Hopefully the offence can get going tonight. Big game for Joe Flacco.
    Looking forward to it now.

Quite poor offensively. OL is dreadful and Rivers has the yips. Alexander is showing flashes at WR though. Defence is actually pretty impressive though, they stop the run well and are a very solid unit all around. This wont be easy. Especially since they have a great knack of stepping it up around this point of the season or when its a bit too late

Yahoo sports reporting Lewis could be back as early the Denver game.

Look I'm a Charger fan and I know we are ****e. Esp on O. Our O line is complete muck. But did you pox one last nite. Your O coordinator used do the same for us so we know his way. He was a disaster last nite. His playcalling was terrible. Yee got away with one big time. Onto the draft for us... we need to suck all the way to the end now.

The Chargers fans on boards are discussing salary caps and new deals

    Lets do the same :)

    UFA

    1- Ellerbe
    2- Kruger
    3- C. Williams
    4- Ighedibo
    5- Considine
    6- E. Reed
    7- Ayanbadejo
    8- McKinnie
    9- Chris Johnson
    10- Kemoeatu

    RFAs-all expected to be back

    1- Pitta
    2- Dickson
    3- Cody
    4- Jones
    5- Harewood

RFA- Up in the air as far as a tendered contract

    1- D. Reed
Under contract- likely to be cut/retire

    1- B. Williams
    2- Birk

    Under contract- possible cut/retire/restructure

    1- J. Jones
    2- Boldin
    3- R. Lewis

This list is not mine, I swiped it from the unoffical Ravens forum.
So great reading over there, better then the main website
    http://russellstreetreport.com/forum/showthread.php?100075-David-Reed-activated-from-PUP-Levine-to-IR/page2

It's a start anyway, anyone got some predictions?

I think Kruger is going to want to be paid and he'll be let walk.
Maybe Michael McAdoo can step up. Maybe

McKinnie will be driven to the airport and told never to come back!

Ray Lewis, oh dear this is a tough one
7.3 million against the cap in 2013
    http://russellstreetreport.com/could-ray-lewis-be-a-salary-cap-casualty-in-2013/
It's just too much but is it blasphemy to say Ray Lewis will be cut in a salary cap purge?

Let's win the Lombardi and let 52 retire on the spot

I think Ed Reed will wearing a new uniform next season, yeah I said it

What a result against the Chargers. Joe Flacco got the match ball but Ray Rice was unreal.
It was amazing to see Rice make that run.

Huge game again on Sunday against the Steelers.

I was bored today and made this

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 235 ✭✭dropping_bombs

Last night's result was one of the worst ever I have seen as a Raven's fan. I saw a stat somewhere saying the Ray Rice only touched the ball 4 times after his TD run in the third quarter, despite the fact the Joe was shocking? I don't understand the play calling at all; we were totally one dimensional which could be justified if Joe was having any success but 16/34 for 188 yards 1 TD and 1 int with constant defensive pressure wouldn't be what I'd call successful!! It is time to start a #FireCam campaign on twitter?!?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,884 ✭✭✭✭Pudsy33

As posted in the other thread, Rice had 12 touches, whereas Flacco had 50 attempts. Bonkers

Our game against the Broncos in two weeks is now absolutely crucial. The loser will have next to no chance of the number 2 seed. Hope they flex it to either primetime or on of the middle games.

Oh, and I am seriously worried RG3 will put points on us this Sunday.
