Hey lads, been offline for a few days. Great game on Sunday. Well deserved win. If you can put the sort of pressure on Denvers O-line that you put on our turnstiles, and Flacco and Boldin play like that, ye have a big shot. Ill be rooting for the winner of this game to go all the way.

All the best. And great game.

With all due respect - the Denver O-line is better than the Colts O-line and the Denver defence (2nd in total defence) is wwaaayyy better than the Colts defence (26th in total defence).

Never said it wasn't, but we played and beat some good teams this season, and didn't get slaughtered in the trenches like that by anyone. Still think Denver are favourites, but Manning will see pressure.

Congrats lads, a well deserved victory. All going well, hopefully we'll see you at Gillette. And not that they needed to, but the Ravens D have earned a whole new level of respect in my eyes.

To be honest, I want you guys in the AFC championship. Not because I think we've a better shot, but because it wouldn't be right if it were any other way.

To hell with Peyton Manning Vs Ray Lewis.

Ray Lewis Vs Tom Brady is where it's at. :D

(Assuming we beat the Texans of course)

Win it for Ray. Don't do that to us and lose to the forces of darkness next week.

    Ray Strength.
Also Denver's mayor has to do the Squirrel dance now.

If the Baltimore Ravens lose their divisional playoff game against the Denver Broncos Saturday, residents will have to deal with an ugly reminder of the loss due to a bet between Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake and Denver Mayor Michael Hancock.

With a Ravens loss, the historic Washington Monument in the Mt. Vernon neighborhood would be bathed in blue and orange light as part of the terms of the bet, according to a news release. Rawlings-Blake will also have to send a platter of J.W. Faidley Seafood’s crab cakes to Hancock should the home team fail to come through.

But if the Ravens pull off the upset—the team is a 10 point underdog heading into the game in Denver—Hancock will have to send a box of dry aged “cowboy cut” rib eye steaks from Lombardi Brother’s Meats to Rawlings-Blake, and he will have to perform linebacker Ray Lewis’ famous pre-game dance.

A word to a couple of players that won't get any credit for that winning field goal. Our snapper Morgan Cox and holder Sam Koch. Perfect execution.

Very impressive to convert the kick at the end. I said in the playoff thread that there's no easy kicks in the post season but to win a match away from home with a 50 yard kick was superb execution

    First TD tonight:

    Bucky Brooks ‏@BuckyBrooks
the @ravens TD comes from Jim Caldwell using an old Colts' play. Dbl. Posts w/deep crossers. FS bit on crosser leaving #82 open for six.

Joe Flacco in the playoffs thus far:

    30/57, 613 yards, 5 TD's, 0 INT's, 1 fumble. QB Rating of 120 and yards per completion of just over 20.

Hey all Ravens fans, hope you enjoyed the game and good luck up in Foxboro (or Texas!) next week.

Hopefully it'll be another classic to watch.

I was not able to watch the match last night. What a season I picked to start watching American Football and follow the Ravens. I am just about the watch the game now from last night.
It has been a great season so far. I really did not think the Ravens would win last night but I am delighted they did.
I have really enjoyed watching Ray Rice, Torrey Smith, Marshall Yanda, Ray Lewis, Joe Flacco and Terrell Suggs since he has come back from injury.
Let's get to Super Bowl 47 now!!!!!

We have a decent little collection of fans in here. Only the 49ers, Broncos and the Patriots seem to have more on board. I wouldn't have thought the Ravens were a widely supported team

Only started following the NFL at the start of this season but I'm proud to call myself a Ravens fan after last night. Fantastic game. To be honest I wasn't feeling confident we'd win, before the game. But as we managed to keep the scores tied almost all the way through, my worries were alleviated. And once we snatched the overtime, I knew we wouldn't walk walk away without the win. :D

Only really started following it this year but I watched the playoffs last year and found myself rooting for the Ravens. Hard to describe why, the energy the team gives off is fantastic.

    I'll leave this here too.

Lewis passes the torch to Flacco:

    http://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/article-1/Ray-Lewis-Passes-Torch-To-Joe-Flacco/d903bf58-4e53-4ae2-97b2-50bbfce2c6b7
For as long as the Ravens have been around, Ray Lewis has always been the team’s unquestioned leader.

His teammates call him “The General.”

But before Saturday’s divisional-round matchup with the Denver Broncos, Lewis passed that title and the torch of leadership to a new man: quarterback Joe Flacco.

“In the tunnel, I told him, ‘you’re the General now. Lead us to a victory. You will lead us today. I’m just here to facilitate things,’” Lewis said.

Lewis’ career is coming to a close as he’s in his final postseason run, and it is Flacco’s time to take command of a team that has its eyes set on a Super Bowl.

Flacco took a big step in that direction Saturday. The fifth-year quarterback did exactly what Lewis asked of him, as he turned out a memorable performance to lead the Ravens to a 38-35 comeback victory over the Broncos.

Flacco threw for 331 yards and three touchdowns, outdueling future Hall of Famer Peyton Manning on the opposite sideline.

“He grew up today,” Lewis said. “To watch what he did today is probably one of the greatest things that I’ll always sit back and remember.”

Flacco is the only quarterback in NFL history to go to the playoffs in each of his first five seasons, and he now has the Ravens in the AFC championship for the third time in his career. But for as much success as Flacco has enjoyed, he has been criticized locally and nationally for his inconsistent play at times.

He has always stood up to the pressure and proven to be a consistent winner, but Saturday’s victory may be his best postseason performance to date.

“To look into his eyes, he had something different about him today, and I just wanted to encourage it,” Lewis said. “I’ve always been a Joe Flacco fan. And I always will be.”

Not only did Flacco put up big numbers, but he had command of the game.

He consistently delivered one big throw after another, taking chances down the sidelines to lead the Ravens back from four separate deficits.

Flacco’s most memorable play of the game came late in the fourth quarter with the Ravens trailing by a touchdown, on their own 30-yard line, with no timeouts and 40 seconds left on the clock. The Broncos pass rush started to get to him in the pocket, but he rolled out to the right, and heaved a bomb down the sideline for speedy wide receiver Jacoby Jones.

Jones slipped just past the Broncos secondary and Flacco’s pass hit him perfectly in stride, as he took the ball to the end zone for a 70-yard touchdown to tie the game with 31 seconds left and send it into overtime.

After the game, even Flacco had trouble finding the words to describe the play.

“There’s no real way to explain it,” Flacco said. “The opportunity arose and guys made plays.”

    “It was just crazy.”

That play wasn’t the only big drive that Flacco orchestrated throughout the game. Another key moment came just before halftime, as the Ravens were down seven points with 1:16 left in the half. Flacco needed just three plays to drive the Ravens down the field for a touchdown, which came on a 32-yard scoring grab by wide receiver Torrey Smith. Flacco lofted a pass down the sideline for Smith, who leaped over Pro Bowler Champ Bailey to make the catch and tie the game going into the locker room.

“[This game] says a lot [about Joe],” Smith said. “A lot of ups and downs throughout the game and he stayed level headed, kept that Joe face on, and he never doubted for a minute, stayed positive, and he made some big-time plays. He gave guys chances to make plays.”

Flacco and the Ravens will now prepare for another AFC championship game, and he hopes to continue his impressive postseason with another victory next week to advance to his first-ever Super Bowl.

“Good play can show up in different ways,” Flacco said. “Sometimes it shows up in throwing for a few yards and a few touchdowns. Other times it shows up in just managing the game and going to get your team a win. And there’s other times where you just lose football games.

“I think this was a big game where we all kind of rose up and took care of each other. I think when that happens then everybody plays pretty well.”

Well done Ravens (from a die-hard Bronco) ;)

My jaw has finally returned from the floor, my heart has finally returned to normal, I think I lost 10years off my life (and I'm not in a position to loose much more :p). At least in the SB's we lost (all those years ago), I could go to bed early!!.

What a game, it had everything, it was exciting, it ebbed & flowed, it was beautiful & ugly, it was EPIC. I honestly thought we were going to win, but that only really started to sink in with 42secs on the clock, and then..................bam...........WTF !

There are so many talking points about the game, it deserves it own thread !!

It was a game that reflected all what Lewis is about, fight till the end, believe.
I tip my Bronco hat to you and your team, now please please go on and win the friggin thing :pac:

"Little Ray" has some serious muscle mass. Is that normal for a RB?

Ray is probably the biggest for a RB. But Adrian Peterson, MJD, Trent Richardson, Hillis, Reggie Bush. I know he's a FB but Sellers was massive too and Jones from the Jags is big too.

I'd say it's pretty normal but Ray Rice is a freak no way should he have those arms.

Compared to Lewis in the picture his arms are massive!
All about protecting the ball I suppose :pac:
    Reading his combine report:
Negatives: Obvious size concerns. ... Lacks prototype breakaway speed, especially for a runner of his size. ... Physical blocker, but simply lacks the size to consistently hold up against NFL pass rushers. ...
NFL scouts are some jokers. This was after his 2000 yard 25 TD season at Rutgers.

I'm still sick to my core after that loss but I've always liked the Ravens and Ray is a pure legend.

Christ please beat the pats and give Ray the send off he deserves!
