this is the biggest wind event since at least the late 90s. (When I was small enough to be impressed by 40knot wings. :pac: )
I agree with you on that.

Hubby just left for work and he is walking :( pretty wild out there

As long as the Dublin runway isn't part of his commute I'd say he'll be fine. Dunno whether to end that with ":pac:" or ":P)" :P

Dying down that little bit here, few good gusts but the worst has passed it seems.

There's an app for the website too called "Live ATC" for iOS and maybe Android too. Don't think it was free though

I'd guess 98/99 was the last big one. Was only 10 so can't be sure but this was a good night. :pac:

I've had to move downstairs from the attic room in the house because the sound of the wind in unbearable(In dublin 16)

Looking outside, I'm getting slightly concerned about a very old, possibly rotting, sycamore tree at the end of our garden. If this falls, the house will take a right clattering!

Sounds a bit foreign to me.

Just lost power in Milford in Donegal, no sign of it dropping away yet, but it's raining heavy here now, wondering if the cold front is passing by, would expect a blast of thunder just for good measure now

Most impressive thing to me was the leap from 31mph sustained, 44mph gusts just an hour before!

Wind woke me up hi guys lol.

Have a view over to the Letterkenny/Rathmullan road from my bedroom , was looking over at the lights just after 5 when there was a huge bolt of lighning on the horizon and all the power went off. We still have power east of the Swilly. Huge gale now. Can see a roof hanging off a shed here.
Cant see neighbours house roof but as it has holes from the storm on wed I would imagine it can only get worse now.:(

As long as it's not French Canada I don't mind. :pac:

Very much easing off here, barely more than the odd breeze the last 5 minutes.

Gusts seem to be dying down at the airport, down from 55kt to 48 now. Apparently they're having problems with the air bridge though.
