I picked up the Augmented Deux Ex:HR for €20; I have the standard version on d'xbox and was eyeing up the soundtrack on Itunes for €8.99 alone! With the documentary, booklet etc it's super value

Well so much for that, there's NONE of the extra content included in the augmented edition ffs  Despite claims in this post I don't have the soundtrack (the main reason I bought it).

    E-mailing Steam.

(Plus the fúcking video driver I downloaded via Steam keeps sending my VDU into power saving every minute while I'm using the machine...grrrr)

So...today is the last day for daily deals, right? Because I can still see the clock counting down to indicate when the new sales start.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,473 ✭✭✭Shred

Yeah there's 3 hours left so it must be running until 10am PST.

They always have the "new deals in..." thing on the last day.
    don't be fooled!
all it means is there's more deals on steam past holiday sales, like mid-week deals and daily deals.

    Singularity
    Limbo
    Avadon
    Frozen Synapse
    Kings Bounty Platinum
    Rock of Ages
    Sonic Generations
    Dead Space 2
    Binding of Isaac
    Tomb Raider Underworld
    Machinarium
    Space Chem
    Puzzle Agent 1 and 2
All the Fallout New Vegas DLC
    Earth Defense Force: Insect Armageddon
Dark Messiah of Might and Magic
    Hitman Collection
    LA Noire
    Magicka Complete Pack
    Trine
    Inside a Star Filled Sky

In my defense it was my first steam sale where I had the money to spend on games.

Actually when you say that I realised I had one glaring omission. I forgot to put in Eversion, Chantelise and.... Duke Nukem Forever :)

Woot, didn't spot that and 30 minutes to go in the sale! Wasn't willing to pay full price for it but wanted it quite badly for nostalgia reasons, UFO and XCom were two of my earliest PC games and I've very fond memories of playing them with my younger brother!

Went a bit mental this sale, but it is only my second Winter sale and I had a fair bit saved up for it and managed to pick up a few titles that I've wanted for a while now.

    Morrowind Game of the Year
Deus Ex Human Revolution: The Missing Link DLC
    Puzzle Agent, Puzzle Agent 2
    Flight Control HD
    Universe Sandbox
    Dungeon Defenders
    Far Cry Complete
    Solar 2
    FEAR Complete Pack (ROW)
    Demolition, Inc.
    Killing Floor
    X-SuperBox
    Atom Zombie Smasher
    Splinter Cell
    Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter
    Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2
    Splintercell: Chaos Theory
    Wings of Prey
    Hard Reset (RoW)
    E.Y.E.: Divine Cybermancy
    RAGE
    Railworks 3: TS2012
    The Polynomial
    AI War: Fleet Command
    Psychonauts
    Space Pirates and Zombies(SPAZ)
    Bunch Of Heroes

  • Registered Users Posts: 22,929 ✭✭✭✭ShadowHearth

my list is very poor this year:

E.Y.E. Divine Cybermancy - really cool, but very complex. will need more time.

The binding of Isaac - LOVE IT!

Shogun 2 +DLCs - freaking amazing, but loading times are brutal! cries for ssd, but no way it goes on SSD with 20gb!

Tropico 3 - havent played it yet.

so around 25eu all in all. I got all of the games i wanted and new games did not droped in price enough for me to spend that sort of money.

And that is that, folks. An end to such a great sale.

Still got 1 coal to trade.

I finished up very modestly. Just Skyrim, Hard Reset and Universe Playbox.

only did Deus Ex for $16.99 and I already regret that, knowing I will probably play it a year from now. Just like the Hitman and GTA series and a million other things I've bought previously which havent even been run before. almost caved on batman for the same reason

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,295 ✭✭✭ionapaul

Only bought two games in the end:

    Hard Reset
    Rochard

Total spend: less than a tenner! :) I bought too many games in earlier sales and haven't played them yet, so am finally being more circumspect with what I buy; I know I'll get Dues Ex and Batman: Arkham City in the future but no need to rush, they'll be cheaper again in the summer 2012 or winter 2012 sales so can buy then, got a lot to play in the meantime. I'd like to ensure I pay less than a tenner for all games in the future, should be mostly do-able I think.

Big spender here, just bought Dungeon Defenders for €3 :P

    tis great craic

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 301 ✭✭HovaBaby

    Bioshock
    Bioshock 2
    Borderlands
    Bulletstorm
    Dead Space (€3.50)
    Dead Space 2
Deux Ex: Human Revolutions. (on Gamers Gate I got it on sale for €10.99 just before Christmas, went up to €20.99 after a couple of hours though)
    Dungeon Defenders
    Empire: Total War
    Far Cry (€3.50)
    Far Cry 2
    Just Cause 2 (€5)
    Mass Effect (€3.50)
    Mass Effect 2
    Medieval 2: Total War
    Metro 2033 (€2.70)
    Napoleon : Total War
    Neverwinter Nights 2: Platinum
    S.T.A.L.K.E.R SoC & CoP.
    Street Fighter IV (€5)
    Super Meat Boy (around €2.50)
    The Witcher 1 (€5)

Most I spent on a game war €12.50 for Bulletstorm, so not too bad I suppose. Can't remember all prices.

You can see them within Steam if you go to your account page.

Wow, this being my first Steam sale (and credit card), i'm surprised at my control at not buying games compared to others :D

Although i am a sucker for the Humble Bundles...still haven't got around to playing most of them yet :o

Some of us save up in advance purely so we can splurge. ;)

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,410 ✭✭✭Nollog

Yeah, I don't really buy PC games until they're on sale on steam.

Most of us are just suffering from some rather massive buyers remorse leftover from previous sales.
Not me though. The 296 games on my account keep me warm at night. :o

    90 games in total...*feels inadequate* :(:p

I blame having a crap laptop and only getting UPC in September for my tiny Steam catalogue :D
