How do Siddig / Meaney feel about their Trek careers? I get Brooks and his well publicised eccentricity, but curious as to the above two. I suppose Siddig was probably busy with Gotham / Game of Thrones at the time?

No Jeffrey Coombs either, though maybe it was just for the main cast.

Coombs is there, 5th from the right

Whoops. Though seeing Michael Dorn does remind me about the mild controversy about his being turned down for an appearance on Discovery. The new klingon makeup just wouldn't allow Dorn much room to perform really, it's a far cry from a glorified skull cap of yore.

Replied back with a sad face about bashir and Chief and got a like from Odo.

    My work here is done.

    Marc Aliamo looks very frail.
Who's the dude between Cassidy and Ezri?

    Also no Chief or Bashir

Whose the lady standing on the far right??

Very odd selection of Star Trek episodes. But it does show that Voyager does have some pretty damned decent episodes, though unfortunately the rest of the series let them down somewhat :pac:

I went through a list of the top 20 voyager episodes as listed on a fan site and they were very good.

As for DS9, much harder to drop in and watch single episodes.

seen a con on youtube with bashir and nog, they were really casual about it, but Siddig brought up something about Colm Meaney that had me in stitches.

Meaney would bring El-fadil out on the beer in hollywood or wherever, they'd have a few in the first pub then head off to some other place, anyway - the story went that on their way to the next pub meaney disappeared off ahead into the pub before Siddig got in.

Siddig arrives at the bar, orders a drink and is promptly told "we dont serve your kind here"

disgusted at this, Sid asks why, and what kind does he mean?

barman tells him to get out and has him escorted out of the bar, meanwhile Colm Meaney is breaking his bollocks laughing at the bar, he'd told the barman El-Fadil was an Irish hating lunatic racist and he'd been following meaney all night looking for a fight lol!

if i come across the video again i'll post it

worth a watch just to see Ensign Kim get repeatedly owned by everyone, even the audience :P

The part i was talking about is around 30 minutes in, Sid is talking about fellow cast members

There's a lot of dirty laundry being washed in public, but while there's bound to be some false positives out there, I think it's a long overdue public conversation about the Entertainment industries many issues with harassment, abuse and worse. The real question is whether any actual consequence will come of it.

As for the report about Takei, well hopefully it's false because he & Jeffrey Tambor are the first actors brought up in this whole thing that I went 'aww, no, not him!'. If Tom Hanks gets accused then we truly are doomed :D:(

Discussions are one thing; the coming to media instead of police and public actions from companies on unsubstantiated accusations are another

This is getting more than a little off-topic & I certainly don't want to drag the thread down this avenue (there are already plenty of threads on the subject), but from what I've seen and read the simple fact is there's a long, sad history of police either ignoring victims' reports, or outright hostility towards them; Jimmy Saville's victims were routinely vilified when they went to the police - honestly, it's debatable how trustworthy the cops are with this kind of crime & it's a serious question outside the realm of celebrities.

The knee-jerk firing by companies is weird, but I suspect this is all Hollywood being seen to react to accusations of conduct they full well knew was happening, but chose to ignore it. This is all after-the-fact outrage I suspect and it's interesting to note who's getting fired & who isn't.

    So... ... Star Trek! :D

Neelix; the greatest Trek character, or just one of the greatest? ;)

Ah here, I never got that criticism. By that logic (ha) Sarek was pure filth with Amanda (given ages and life span)

George denies the allegations - http://comicbook.com/startrek/2017/11/11/george-takei-sexual-assault/
“I'm writing to respond to the accusations made by Scott R. Bruton,” Takei tweeted. “I want to assure you all that I am as shocked and bewildered at these claims as you must feel reading them. The events he describes back in the 1980s simply did not occur, and I do not know why he has claimed them now. I have wracked my brain to ask if I remember Mr. Brunton, and I cannot say I do. But I do take these claims very seriously, and I wanted to provide my response thoughtfully and not out of the moment.

“Right now it is a he said / he said situation, over alleged events nearly 40 years ago. But those that know me understand that non-consensual acts are so antithetical to my values and my practices, the very idea that someone would accuse me of this is quite personally painful. Brad, who is 100 percent beside me on this, as my life partner of more than 30 years and now my husband, stands fully by my side. I cannot tell you how vital it has been to have his unwavering support and love in these difficult times. Thanks to many of you for all the kind words and trust. It means so much to us.”

Hopefully this accusations aren't true, but I agree that this trial by media and firings based on accusations and speculation is getting out of hand.

Social media (and bored journalists with 24/7 articles/air time to fill) can be a very dangerous thing in an environment where many seem to take whatever is posted on Twitter/Facebook without question.

Quentin Tarantino supposedly successfully pitched an idea to JJ Abrams about a new Trek film, and are currently assembling a writers room.

    Yes, really.
