My worst christmas present was from an elderly uncle of mine when i was in my teenage years.
The previous week and had been drinking cider with friends and as you do in your youth you over endugle and I was violently sick from this . My elderly uncle came for christams dinner and brought a box of sweets for my sisters and a 2LTR BOTTLE of OLE ENGLISH CIDER for me , As he said to my mam its what the young lads drink now.
I then had to sit with my christmas dinner with a large cider as I did not wish to seem ungrateful as he was elderly and his heart was in the right place.
Ever sip of that cider made me heave and cider has not touched my lips since which was 18 years ago FOND MEMORIES LOL

The best gift I got was a Home Alone 2 talkboy. It was such a fun day being able to record my voice and play it back slowly!! I actually watched the film again that day because i was in such awe that i had my own talkboy!!

It was such a great day!!

The worst Christmas present i ever got would probably had to of been.

    A remote control car.

Now, the remote control car itself was great, But required 16 batteries in which Santa forgot to drop them off. I don't blame him, It was a busy night for him. So at like 7am in the morning, I'm running around looking for things to take batteries out of and finally got enough out of all the remote's, Other toy's, Other gifts that included batteries, Stuff like that.

to my surprise not knowing how batteries truly worked there was not enough power to maintain the gift for more than a few seconds. So not the worst gift per se, But made me angry and miserable for a few hours until someone arrived with batteries!!

Then i had a blast driving it around for hours!!! At least it felt like hours!!

P.S next year i made sure to include in the bottom of my Santa letter, Please include batteries this time!!

When I was about 6 years old (many, many years ago) I gave all the smokers in my family a small box of safety matches all wrapped up! I still get slagged every Christmas about it. http://b-static.net/vbulletin/images/smilies/biggrin.gif

    My Worst Christmas Present :

As a little girl, I always loved dinosaurs – not Barbies. When I was about 7 years old, there was a huge mechanical T-Rex that I absolutely fell in love with, and my aunt promised to get for me. When we went to her house to open presents that Christmas Eve, I couldn’t contain my excitement as she plopped a big box down in front of me. As I tore off the paper, however, that excitement became utter confusion, disappointment, and downright sadness as the package within revealed itself not to be a dinosaur, but an Easy Bake oven.

I’m pretty sure I cried on the way home, and I never ever opened that blasted oven. My aunt told my mom she had the T-Rex in her cart, then saw the Easy Bake Oven and thought it was “much more appropriate for a little girl.”

I’ve never forgiven her for that ;)

Last Christmas I gave my nephews & nieces a selection box each - the worst present ever! It was all I could afford (after spending my money on myself). Still feel guilty but I can't guarantee it will be any better this year unless I win this competition!!

Worst I gave would probably be the exercise bike - was taken as a hint (incorrectly, I might add!).

And obviously any clothes whatsoever - they never see the light of day. I've given up giving clothes.

My best and worst present are the same one...

I was about 10 and my 8yr old sister got me a book that was in both Irish and english, well I was not a happy bunny, obviously I wanted something to shoot or blow up. And being a little eejit I told her I didnt like the present she got me. Needless to say it broke her little heart, and the tears followed.

I was sitting with her later that say and she said she knew I was struggling with Irish in school and she really wanted to help me out with that! And thats the reason it was my best present, it thought me the value of presents on a deeper level than just buying something nice.

The best present I ever GAVE (see I read the first post!) hopefully is the one this year for my Dad, some aftershave/cologne he likes but has not found in the shops for years.

The worst present I ever got was a morse code kit from my dad. He had told me to give him a clue of what I wanted for Christmas but not tell him outright, so I told him I'd love something that would help me to communicate with other people (a mobile phone) He swears to this day he honestly thought I was talking about a morse code set!
