Nothing wrong with getting old :) sher if you weren't getting old...you'd be dead!

I'm 28 and do not feel 28 at all - more like 18/19!

At different stages I felt old then others I felt young. When I had a GF I was "jaysus I'm too young to be be in an LTR I should be out having the craic".

Then as soon as I was single I was thinking that I was getting old fast need to think about settling down:rolleyes:

But now I'm doing what I should've done in my late teens/early twenties so I feel a bit younger. I'm 25.

The settling down aspect is definitely the part that makes me feel like I'm getting old.

I have something of a social life (thankfully) but thats because I'm in college, so I'll see how I get on with that.

When I walked into a small town stop and shop area to buy fegs, a wee boy said ''Oh lads stand away and let the MAN go first.''

that was it in the bag for me right there. :(

It's the same for women, (even refering to myself as a woman sounds odd as opposed to girl) a mother with a child about to bump into you or something and the mother says watch out for the lady.

    i'm not a 70year old lady!

I was coming out of Perth W.A. in 1992 and suddenly discovered that I could only fill in the customs clearance form with great difficulty. Something to do with the lighting, I think?
It was my first indication of impending decrepitude.
There have been many since! :(

I have definitely noticed a few "getting older" signs in the last year or two - but I kinda enjoy some of them. :pac:

I noticed this today too. A mother and toddler were sitting behind me on a bus earlier and their young boy was sitting beside me. I stood up to get off, and the mother asked the boy to "let the man out." Being described as a "man" feels weird to me!

On the plus side I'm now the 'older more maturer man' that younger girls go for and younger guys hate.

I work with alot of people younger than me. One told me I should go to a late bar instead of the nightclub as thats more for people my age. I'm 24!

Also crazy to think some people are so young they don't remember a time when there was no reality TV or X Factor etc.

It came in a dream. It was Christopher Walken and he said, you are getting old and I went "prove it" and he showed me a card trick and I forgot all about it.

I am in my 40's and the realisation that I was getting old hit me when the remake of "Footloose" was released because I clearly remember the original!!!!

When I realized there is a whole generation of people in college now who weren't long out of nappies when I myself was in college - a generation of people for whom the whole Oasis v Blur thing and by extension the associated Fr. Ted reference, mean nothing..........
