Dan Houser did an interview with the Sun newspaper and they said it takes 1 hour to drive all around the outline of the map. Not sure if this was a quote from Dan or a guess by the newspaper

I would bet my house on that being false. One thing that pisses me off about these previews is they always lie/mislead you about the size of the map. I think it took 15 minutes to drive around San Andreas. I'd guess something similar here, maybe a bit bigger. When they say the map is 49 square miles you can be sure they're including the coastal waters which can be explored but will ultimately be largely empty.

They are indeed. Fairly certain a few previews indicated they were seen driving around normally by the computer too, unlike SA where only you could drive them.

    Are planes and trains destructible?

Loved GTA3 I think shooting trains off the tracks:D

Love to be able to blow big passenger planes up, but probably due to 9/11 and 7/7 its not allowed

I just realised something, GTA launches at midnight, by the time I get home and play it for a bit there'll be a new episode of Breaking Bad to watch.

But Breaking Bad comes out on the Monday no?

Or by "a bit" do you mean a solid 6 days? :P

The midnight launch is Monday/Tuesday. New episode of Breaking Bad will be Monday morning. You'll likely have already watched the new Breaking Bad hours before you get the game.

Stupid job, think I'll go give my boss a crack around the chops and get myself sacked. That way nothing can interrupt my precious GTA V. Must bin the missus too actually. Busy week for me.

Or watch it while GTA installs. You get to watch the best show on the planet, and you're not left waiting for the install. Best of both worlds.

I'll probably stay up to watch it then crawl into bed at about 6am. Then I'll not get out of bed until about 2pm so I wont be tired for the midnight launch and playing GTA until about 6am.

That is the secret to happiness right there. Doing one thing you really like while looking forward to something else you really like. Without that something in the future you are always aware of the impending blackness on some level no matter how good the current something is!

Anyone else worried that this will be a major GTA IV style let-down?

I'm not saying "think it will be", just worried about the possibility.

I'm preparing myself for the worst in the hope of being pleasantly surprised.

Got the same text i'd say, I was gonna go in anyway tomorrow and pay it off so I can just collect it at launch so makes no difference to me!

How much are they actually charging in-store? I never thought to ask when I preordered.

Wow. I can't decide whether to queue before 12 or just stroll in at 12 when the games will be starting to get handed out. When I paid it off they said they will have 2 queues in operation for midnight to make sure they get everyone in and out as fast as possible.

Thats mental, I was thinking about heading in at 12 myself and just picking it up but now thinking it mite be best to head in 30mins or even an hour beforehand!

Although in saying that I doubt there will be that many people waiting for it where I live...

How long will the shops stay open at midnight release? Would I be able to park outside in my car with the toasty heat on and then just dander in when the queue is down to the last few?
