Hopefully your actions dictate who turns out to be the bad guy. Like each guy has a reason but something you do sends one over the edge. Even more replay value then.

I don't know, that brings in karma gameplay which would destroy gta,i'm not a big fan of karma in games.

Nothing to do with karma. Just give a sequence of events (that you decide on the outcome of) that dictates who the bad guy is.

To make it easy, lets say two events. If A happens and B doesnt, its one person. B happens but A doesnt, its a different person, if both happen its different again.

Thats a very simple way of explaining it but thats the gist of what I was thinking.

Starts tomorrow (Mon-Fri - excluding Wednesday, when they'll instead be doing a live feed and re-watch/closer look at the trailer).

Like the choice of killing characters in IV.

Which, if I recall correctly, they were banging on about for weeks in the run up to the release of the game, and were still proud of afterwards (even though the influence you got over the story was ultimately minimal).

So if R* were so chuffed with themselves for that, I'm certain they'll bring it back in a bigger way for this.

Still not 100% sure what took them 5 years, though, to be honest (I'm not saying creating this kind of game is easy, but I think 3 years is the biggest gap between GTAs prior to this? And they're making V on an engine they're familiar with).

So that said, I'm expecting there to be something amazing about the game, or something shocking unveiled in trailer 2.

Exactly, but have the choice actually mean something. Only one choice meant anything in IV, nothing else affected the story from what I can remember.

I was wondering about something myself earlier. Would they go with two discs on the PS3 version (and the 37 that would be on Xbox :pac:) to make it a huge game? I know multi discs are not very popular, but having one install and the other running shouldnt cause any problems.

Giving that the Easter egg in gta 4 that shows the last scene of the gta 5 video must mean they were at it for 5 years at least. Bigger than gta 4, rdr and sa. Wednesday will explain alot i think.

What easter egg is this?

EDIT: If you mean the carnival ride, that's from San Andreas and has been there since the game came out in 2008.

If a game had to be any bigger than the capacity of a blu-ray disc, they should really wait for the next gen console. Had my fill of multi-disc games on the ps1

The only way I think a multi-disc should be done in a GTA game is to have one main disc, and however many installation discs as it takes.

I'm pretty sure it'll require 2 or more discs on 360, but I don't want them to do what Mass Effect 3 did, which was having some side quests on disc 2, so that if you chose to do the quest you'd have to switch discs for a 15 minute mission, then have to switch back again to continue the main story. Was some of the worst multi-disc implementations I've ever played.

Forza gets it right. Install loads of sh*t, then use disc 1 from then on.

I hope we can hijack trains in this GTA. Parachuting onto a train to take it over and steal its cargo would be pretty badass

Yes, I miss being able to get more creative in a GTA. :)

This game looks like it will provide us with hours of just ****ing around. Imagine ragdoll physics and falling down the mountain. Or pushing hill walkers off. Or to elaborate on your idea...cycle off the mountain, parachute then rob the train. Hopefully we can derail the train like in SA and cause some damage :)

Don't even mention that mission in this place again! This thread is supposed to be a happy place! A place of magic and wonder and wild speculation! :pac:

I really really hope Rockstar fix the AI traffic, In GTA IV my main frustration was when I was crossing any of the main bridges in a new car other traffic would switch lanes like no tomorrow and crash straight into my car
