Not sure if mentioned on here but The Library on Cornmarket Row is gone.

Unfortunate to see jobs go, but that place is no real loss. Was in there recently enough and there was some shower of undesirables (for want of a better expression) in there. The place was a bit of a dump imo, just one of these new modern "superpubs" with no distinguishing features.

Unfortunately Limerick's store closing is no real surprise. Since the Australian takeover the store has stagnated and had zero maintenance or marketing investment.
Might be an opportunity to pick up some cheap fancy toolboxes if they sell off stock rather than transfer it.
Hope those affected can find alternative employment quickly.

Woodies are still across town, but yeah, we once had B&Q, Atlantic, Homebase and Wickes all in the same area. Although that was probably Celtic Tiger overkill.

The Range have a good selection of homewares. For paint/wallpaper there’s that place in Roxboro Shopping Centre or the place in Pennywell. A&R (also in Penneywell) is good for plumbing supplies.

The Range as the name suggests is a decent coverer of many areas but master of none. Not that impressed by their stores to be honest.

surprised it stayed open for so long to be honest,

Not surprised with Homebase although to be fair their nursery is the best in limerick.

B&Q all the way for me although woodies price match offer is worth it

Homebase was the dearer version of argos anyway.

The range is managed terribly. Store is a mess. Shocking wastage in their nursery. If I was the owner, heads would roll out there.

Quite a lot of the stuff they carry is poor enough quality. I find the layout has no real flow, it can be very hard to find anything.
