    lol

In fairness, if you get into the group stages of a European competition, John D will put a grand behind the bar for you though.

    100,000 (200,000 last year).

Wow, the FAI give the league champions the equivalent of three months of Delaney's wages.

They take back a lot of it and also took 15k a year off every club when they scrapped the CPO scheme.

Plus the fines for as little as a fan farting.

Delaney's good at taking, I'll give him that.

If them figures are accurate, thats a shocking state of affairs. The prize money for winning the league is 25% of the fai leaders salary and would only cover the wages of the manager for 1 season. LOI football really has me scratching my head, Im amazed there are not more clubs in serious financial problems.

    It's not just Bohs.

There is no "rich" LoI club (apart from the ones who get away with paying tax and debts), some manage their finances better than others, truw, but all it would take would be a couple of hundred drop in attendence to push a couple of more clubs to the wall.

I'm not a member but have heard from some that the lobby to oust board members just doesn't exist.

who would want the job ?

Almost every club has serious financial problems.

And when did he win the leagues for Bohs? When they were at their highest and far and away the highest in the league.

The year bohs won the double Cork and Derry had higher wage bills. It hit them hard back then it just managed to delay itself to now. Although I do think we will somehow survive I think it's important to remain positive.

Votes are going to be very close to 50 50 (see this years membership director vote), one part of the problem is finding good candidates, the other is getting clued in members to turn up while the old school yes men will always be there talking about how low their membership number is and scoffing at the blow ins.

    Okay so 6 million debt
    Zurich- 4.8
    other - 1.2

Dalymount Park and the car park will get taken off us, by Zurich, to cover their loans. If there is anything left we're entitled to that. With that we pay off some of the other debts.

We then basically start again. Hopefully Fenlon will go. Heary will takeover, presumably, and he can build a new squad.
We will obviously have to be fully part time, meaning no Murphy, Cronin or Heary on full time contracts.

We have to make a profit each year. We also have to set up a play with the Gypsies Supporters Trust and our creditors about how we will pay them. Once this is agreed we can start to rebuild. I can see us barely avoiding relegation, i think our youngsters are better than Drogs and UCD.

Fairly sure Dalymount will be preserved as a "heritage" site.

Which makes things awkward for everyone.

110 year old stadium, altho its not now protected by that heritage ****e it soon will be.

/****ing Shed in Richmond is WTF!!!!

Slightly off topic but what would the gap in playing budgets be between bohs and shamrock rovers this season. Whatever it is it will be surely multiplied next season

I reckon they'd much rather the money. Their isnt a whole lot they could do with a football stadium outside of renting it back.

Sadly not much in it, just Rovers got value for money and pay "expenses". Bohs dont pay "expenses".

Amazing the **** you can get around by paying "expenses" non taxable, non mentionable. Pats have 1 player who gets "expenses".

    lol "" :D

Ah yes and lets never fact check our way out of a good story. Rovers got exceptional value for money and signed players to quite low basic contracts. Rovers players can earn a lot as the majority of their earnings are success based bonus. This is where we differ from Bohs. They gave out enormous contracts regardless. We give that only when success and revenue allows.

The expenses argument is often used to cover the bonus one. It makes us an easier target that way. There are some expenses covered but nowhere near on the same level as what Bohs and Sligo have been pulling for years.

You can't compare us to Bohs we made a profit the last 2 seasons and these constant baseless accusations of us paying under the table are growing tiresome. How much is a low basic contract? Shams budget is considerably higher than ours.

Well I've no idea who you are so who is us? Sligo I'm going to assume? You still taking money off people at the turnstyles and giving them no ticket/receipts then telling the FAI there were only 1,000 at the game?

1 this is a thread about bohs but you had to bring your sligo rovers obsession into it
2 reports of tickets never proved - just a baseless rumour from some shams fans - no other fans have ever complained.
3 what have tickets got to do with sligo rovers paying expenses - why dont you put some meat on another one of this bull**** stories you accuse other clubs off?? evidence of expenses or back it up, please.

Bohs are 10 times the club shamrock rovers ever will be and i find it sad that shams fans are dancing on the graves of a great club considering what they went through with property developers at milltown.

Best of luck to bohs and their great fans - ye need to mobilise and get the club taken over and run by fans

Sligo obsession hahaha you clearly don't know me at all. I have often defended sligo on this thread as I recall standing on the pitch in miltown on our final day protesting (i was a kid) and the sligo fans protested with us. All the tension between the two clubs only started really with Cookie and he has been the one to drum it up more than anyone else.

Reports of tickets never proven. Strange how a few hundred Rovers fans provided the raffle tickets we were given as entry to the showgrounds only for the complaint never to go anywhere.

You find it sad that Rovers fans are dancing on their graves. Please point out on here where I have danced on their grave. Even check my previous posts I have consistently said it would be a shame if they went out of business. That said I can't blame some Rovers fans for doing it mind as almost all clubs sided with Rovers when we lost our ground apart from bohs they danced all over our grave, dug it up and danced on the corpse. Even now every now and again they take a good shine to the monument just for old time sake. Karma is a bitch.

Good to have you back Sligored its been a few days without your waffle.

I didn't go as there was only 1 week notice given, couldnt get out of work. It was an info meeting, no actual decisions could be voted on. I could have told you practically word for word what would be said at the meeting before it happened just needing to substitute in exact numbers.

Is the loan against the whole stadium?

What you will more likely see is the bank taking control of the club. If you can find €250k (stop laughing at the back) to pay players, then they can make you go amateur and there is half the cashflow for the loan sorted. You are a long way off playing in Zurich Park for limited rent.
