Physically those Kilkeny CBS lads look big. Looking forward to this game. Harsh early yellow for the lad on Patrick Curran, could be crucial.

    Terrible mistake by the keeper.

Great spell from Dungarvan Colleges since the goals went in

Graet score from 15 at the end - he's having a cracker

Kilkenny CBS hanging in there with frees, and of course that gifted goal, hopefully the lads can kick on in the second half and sort out the wides and slack lapses in defending in the second half

Dungarvan Colleges by far the better team and should really be home and hosed already only for some wasted chances. Kilkenny have been brutal so far. Dungarvan club players doing all the damage. Haven't seen anything from Lyons yet though. Donnelly always a threat for a goal. Curran getting great scores, last point was Mullane-esque.

They should be well in front, but it's there own fault they're not. Mind you few soft frees given against them in the last ten minutes. The backs look abit dodgy to me. The Kilkenny CBS forwards don't look half as dangerous and yet there has been a few balls dropping in around the house that haven't been dealt with well. Patrick Curran has 3 outstanding points from play. Seamus Keating reminds me a lot of his clubmate and namesake Seamus Prender. Red helmet, big strong and great in the air.

I heard there was a wind. I assume that Kilkenny CBS have it because Dungarvan were playing alot of lower balls into the forward line, though maybe thats just their plan anyway. 8 wides to 2 and a soft goal conceded tells its own story.

Colin Dunford deserves a notable mention for his two great points, his pace will cause problems all day. And also Micheal Harney's hardwork has to be commended as it was what made the goal for Donnelly, though it was well taken.

Dunford was very good as always, I really should have said that. He's going to be a huge player for Waterford in future.

Red card for CBS full back, very nasty foul. Patrick Curran has won the penalty. Saved, maybe he shouldnt have taken it given he just hurt his hand.

Cody - wonder if he is any relation to Brian ??

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,252 ✭✭✭deisedevil

That was pure dirt altogether from that Coady lad. Well deserved the sending off.

Some dirty players on that Kk cbs.

    Honn the old Boro

need to just take a few scores now to put it away

Shocking decision. Get the feeling the ref is going to give Kilkenny CBS everything now. 20 mins to go 1-09 to 1-04. Super save by Laurence Power.

he's certainly not doing them any favours

How on earth was that a free and then a yellow for Lyons. For what? Poor ref.

1-10 to 1-06. Dungarvan just missed a guilt edge goal chance there was 4 players that could have buried it. Patrick Curran is playing fantastic. Micheal Harney points, 1-11 1-6.

Point for CBS, Robbie Buckley a substitute. Free Dungarvan, Seamus Keating catching another ball high in the air. The rugby is serving him well today. Patrick Curran points, ½ a minute to play.

They have it now, added time is up and a 65 to Kilkenny CBS. Well done Dungarvan

Patrick Curran man of the match, looking forward to seeing him play minor this year.

Great win and congratulations to Dungarvan Colleges, really looking forward to seeing some of these players in a few years time.

Scoreboard no reflection on a very dominant display, should have been out of sight by half time but KK improved second half. Some wonderful hurling from our lads and some really great skill on show. It is shaping up to be a wonderful few months for the town, this win, Friary winning C football, senior county finalists last year and a chance of the CBS winning the B next weekend. There is superb work being done here in the town and indeed the local clubs in the surrounding areas at underage level and we are starting to see this dedication paying off. Well done to everyone involved!

Plenty hurling left in Waterford lads! The Golden generation my be all but retired but there is some great talent there. Do not underestimate the importance of lads that age closing out big games and hhaving no fear of teams from Kilkenny. A lot of our problems in the past came from lads not being used to these occasions and not being up to it mentally, being beaten before they ever took the field against KK. Maybe these young lads can believe a bit more.
