I remember him telling me he was doing something on CSI or NCIS or Criminal Minds or one of those shows (not sure as I don't watch any of them), but he was definitely involved in something along those lines...

A programme called "Undercovers" something about the CIA

Barry was a great character hope he does come back, look at tracey barlow in corrie, she was sent down for life and she came back so unless he is killed off you can never say never.

Or even if he was killed off theres still a chance of a return.

    (Den Watts ,Eastenders:eek:)

Want to put on the record my admiration, horror, revulsion, joy, sadness and any other appropriate emotion I have experienced while watching Pat Nolan portray Barry down through the years....I will miss Barry in Fair City, some great storylines and great scenes from Pat...thanks for the memories.

Glad ultimately that Denzo is 'gone'...the weakest performer in the Bishop clan for a long time in my view...will release space fro the others to shine brighter..had my doubts about Charlotte until tonight...if she gets the proper lines and plots she is a star in the making...

The light relief scenes afre greatly improving with Val, Christy, Ray, Paul et all...so we've lost Denzo, Barry and Mark in the last couple of weeks. RIP to that trinity..Barry will be missed...time up for the other two, but thanks for the memories...........

Is it me or does anyone else think that the character of Val is way OTT? The actress playing her is over acting and not at all convincing! .

yes! also, was she on bosco? I know her from somewhere:confused:

'Fair City's Barry O'Hanlon actor Pat Nolan to leave show

Fair City's veteran star Pat Nolan is to leave the show, it has been confirmed.

The actor's character Barry O'Hanlon will not be killed off as producers are reportedly leaving the door open for a return to Carrigstown, The Herald reports.

An RTÉ spokesperson said in a statement: "Pat's been there since the beginning of Fair City.

The Irish network added: "He's had some amazing roles and different storylines and this has been a huge one this year.

"His final scenes for the time being are this Sunday - Barry is now locked up in jail."

The award-winning actor is one of Fair City's five original cast members, having played Barry since 1989.

I think Pat Nolan has done a brilliant job and what a way for Barry to go out, brilliant storyline. I do hope one day he comes back as he has played a blinder...

I will miss him and as for Denzo... I felt sorry for him. :(:( I will miss him... Love the Bishop lads though ..

but as for Val... she is beyond irritating and I can't describe just how much I already hate her...:mad::mad:

On digital spy it says that Pat Nolan who plays Barry is leaving Fair City, and that this Sundays episode is his last, but the door has been left open for a return. I hope that he will return one day soon. Pat, as Barry has played his part brilliantly recently. Well done Pat! Come back soon.

Yes he has an interview in the RTE Guide talking about leaving

Do the names Grabbit, Fetchit and Pajoe mean anything to you? Probably depends on your age, anyone in their late 20's and over might remember

    Suzanne

I'm pretty sure Suzanne wasn't there originally. Could be wrong though.

Suzanne. I dont think Bela was there in the very beginning. He came in after a few months. Also, if you count Rita as still being in it, she is an original cast member

Would 'The Bell' be classed as a cast member?

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,669 ✭✭✭DeepBlue

IIRC the Doyle kids were generic kids who got replaced as they came into the storylines - in that sense I don't think Suzanne was the original Suzanne but I could be mistaken. Yvonne is definitely not the original Yvonne.
Why do RTE still list Rita as one of the current cast members? When's the last time she was on the show?

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,033 ✭✭✭unitedrover

Sarah Flood who plays Suzanne has been in it since the start. The other siblings may have been replaced but she remained in the role.

I kinda remember her as child on the show at the start

Can someone please tell me how to access spoilers...........Thanks

Click your mouse at the start of the spoiler and, while holding down the mouse button move your mouse over the rest of the text and that will highlight it all and make it readable.
