Keiran Allen is the first person I would remove from the public pay bill.. Squaking eeegiit... Looks like one of the Angry Birds..

Lucinda always seems out of her depth on economics. She's changing it into personal attack to detract from her lack of knowledge and ability to debate the facts.

Just thinking the same, she is just so bad, she really hasn't a clue.

    Who's the car salesman?

Kieran Allen could probably make a sizeable reduction in National Debt by simply relinquishing some of his salary

As someone listening to this not swaying either way its incredibly disturbing that neither side in this debate has a clue what they are talking about. Its socialist anti austerity stuff from one side, against personnel attacks and scare mongering from the other side.

This program is doing nothing but confusing people further on the issue.

Are you serious? Of the five there she has by far the best grasp of the issues. Allen and the young guy are lying big time. Do they take us for idiots?

She can't back up her arguments with anything that sounds convincing - too much smugness and smirking behind that mug of water:mad:

    Who's the car salesman?

Is that car salesman sitting beside Vincent or Kieran?

The one in the black jacket and pink tie is Sean Murphy, CEO of Chambers Ireland

Watch her fold her arms across herself when facts are put to her - classic defensive body language.

What are you talking about? Allen's only contributions have been lily-livered attempts to rebuff Lucinda's points because he has absolutely none of his own. He has no knowledge and no agenda, besides arguing for argument's sake

Definitely voting yes on Thursday, the no argument is very weak.

I'd vote no just to see if the EU would stop lending the State money to pay Keiran Allen's wages

That UCD fella was full of hot air tonight much the same as his buddy on the panel for the No side. They have no realistic answer as to what we will do if we need more money for a second bailout.
Personally I was always voting Yes but the No side have been very weak in their arguements.

I have to say that I found Lucinda Creighton to be quite arrogant on the VB show tonight. As a representative of government on a widely viewed programme that is broadcasted live two days before the polls open, she came across rude and smug. I do not see what there is to be smiling about. FG need to revisit there PR policy. Enda Kenny the leader of the country has refused to enter into a televised debate and yet someone within the government sees fit that Ms. Creighton is the best option to debate the yes side! I could not believe how dismissive she was of VB when he put the question to her of a “Plan B”. It’s not good enough to say there is no “Plan B” the job of the government is to look at all options and govern (steer) the country on the basis of democratic policy. If a “No” vote is passed they need to govern the country in the best possible form. I am not saying that I totally agree with the “No” side, however they were more dignified and possibly spoke in a language that represents their constituency. Ms. Creighton spoke as if she was addressing the European parliament, thrashing it out with the boys, so to speak. She also seemed to pick on peoples credentials rather than engage in a professional debate.

Yeah she sidestepped the "Plan B" question but that was always going to be the case. I would imagine that maybe there might be some scenario in mind if the No side win but she wasn't going to elaborate on this before the actual vote IMO

No she did not sidestep the question; she clearly said there was no Plan “B”.
I am not picking on the lady or trying to draw faults in her personality. Now is a time for calm and diligent leadership
