CH5 going on Irish Sky EPG ? Was that a pig I saw flying past the window ?
I remember when ITV Encore and ITV be were added to the irish epg the same time as been added to the uk epg but were removed with in a few minutes from the irish epg. So it is a bit unusual to still have 5*+1on the irish epg this length of time.

5*+ 1has now been removed from the irish epg. Lasted longer than I thought.

I'm sure broadcasting it on here didn't help matters.

Best thing I ever did was buying a Manhattan Freesat Recorder Box, cost me €239, plus €80, for 2 new cables, it is like having the old full card trick back & I can switch to which ever region I prefer.

I can make 2 Freesat recordings at the same time, and I am free to use my normal Sky Boxes as well.

Can you record RTE? If not then its NOT like the full card trick. For €50 I can get all the UK "Freesat" channels recordable without a sub, using the existing Sky box!

Got one of those cards, a great investment. I can now carry on recording the UK terrestrials after the ending of the card trick!

I have never needed the Card trick for that, my normal Sky subscription takes care of that.

You must be using your sly card in a box other than a sly box then or your box hasn't had the update yet ?

No, I am saying you can still record all the "Freesat" channels on a Sky box without a sub by obtaining a recordable card for €50. You dont need to purchase other hardware to achieve the "card trick" minus the Saorview channels. And you dont need a sub. By all accounts these cards are as rare as hens teeth though. ( I have no connection with any sellers of these card other than seriously considering investing in one)

Well I have 2 of those blue expired Irish sub cards that can be used to record FTV channels but the card trick don't work period. Unless you have an ex UK blue sub card that you can record hem from, but then its not the card trick is it ?

I Don't understand the point you are making, RTE was never part of the card trick.

New firmware version R010.070.58.17P being rolled out to Drx 890/5 boxes since the 27th of Feb.
Wonder will this let the card trick start working again ?

    R010.070.58.17P

    Bug fix
This update is a public trial release which contains a potential fix for an issue which may cause the following symptoms on some Sky+HD boxes:
TV Listings are slow to populate or display a "No listings available" message.
Future series links disappear from your Sky+ planner.
Sky will be monitoring the feedback from this update closely to confirm if this fix resolves these issues.
Firmware rollout commenced Friday 27th February 2015.

Exactly the same as myself.... I won't be long getting rid of it if it's back, not holding my breath though... it just looks like a patch.
