FB needs a good kick up the rear end, it is starting to look stale and dated. Competition is no harm and should encourage them to innovate.

You can set up Facebook to only let a particular group see a particular post, exactly like how circles work. I have groups for family, friends, colleagues, sports, etc and only those people will see relevant posts (just click on the padlock to select the group when posting). I've the same done for chatting and places. Only people I want to chat with can see when I am online and only people I would regularly hang out with can see when I am checked in somewhere.

Gotta say, I'm mightily impressed.

A few minutes into Wave and I was asking myself why would I want to use this.

A few minutes into Plus and I can see why I already prefer it over facebook.

Yeah I remember, has so chuffed I had a gmail account before my mates. Got a fair bit of stick when I wouldn't invite them:D

There's seems to be a lot more interest in this than there was in Wave or Buzz, hopefully it's warranted.

Oh, and an invite would be nice if anyone has one to spare:)

Yeah, brings back memories alright. Got my gmail invite off boards back in the day, then everyone I know was begging for one off me
