    ...its an s70.

    Funny.

Just thought it might be a T5.

Timing belt, lower engine mount and tracking on the V70 T5. At 215K miles, she be only gettin broken in.
    Still on the Todo list:

    Oil Change
    PCV Service
New shocks and other suspension bits (no upgrades, no interest in that malarky)
    Manual conversion
    Remap :)

Might take it AutoX'ing this weekend anyway for the laugh...

Check out my sig for the future!

Tomorrow I'm getting my worn, rubber rear engine mount replaced with a polyurethane one from JBR. I hope it solves a few issues I'm having!

Very slowly swapping the diff on my 850CSi (2.93:1) to an e36 M3 Evo diff (3.23:1).
    97adb267.jpg

Will have to change both input and output flanges, rear cover and figure out how to secure it at the front as the mounting doesnt line up!

You might have had better luck with an E38 diff, the flanges might be the same size. Also a 3.15 in the 740i Sport and a 3.23 in 728i Sport.

I'm not really bothered to be honest! I still have to sand it back with a 2000 grit sand paper as it's still rough to touch, so I'll leave that until I'm painting it.

2000? You'lll be an eternity flatting the primer with 2000 and you'll use a feck load of paper. Use 800, or 1200 if you're inexperienced. 2000's only really used for defect correction in the lacquer.

What sort of money was the Diff Matt?? I changed one last week in a Hino. The flange broke going into it, luckily I could get parts but its standing a nearly 2K now. A new one is over 12 grand..

EUR300, used BMW diffs are all bout that price. I sprayed it a "spare" colour I had, just to keep the rust off it, wasnt supplied in metallic blue!
Its a 25% Lockup LSD like the original CSi diff.

Im only interested in LSDs though, arent they all open diffs?
The flanges arent really a problem, already removed the input flanges on both. The lack of mounting points on the e36 diff is though!

Its been suggested that swapping the internals would be preferable to welding on the mounting frame... dunno. Choices choices. Ive never even seen inside a diff till this evening! :)

Ah, yes indeed, no LSD in E38s.

Changed the oil, oil filter and air filter in my Holden Rodeo and my other half's Toyota Yaris. Am looking for work at the moment so it felt good to do something productive for an afternoon (I took my time, tea breaks and such).

It's a Facelift yeah! And yep, that's the stuff!
Check out my sig for the future!

Look at all the materials and time it took you though...all I used was a little bit of AutoSol Metal Polish and an old shirt + 2 minutes of rubbing and it came out brand new! :D

I changed my brake discs and pads on my focus. Hands covered in oil but sure feels good to have one less job to do.
