Just popped up for me. Went to check channel 294 for the sd and was it was there and now it RTE TWO HD on 102. It's got Green is the Colour highlighted as HD tonight.

Not much else in HD over the next week, apart from Champions League Final and few American series. I thought the Sunday Game would be in HD.

It's now on EPG for me too and programmes which are in HD are highlighted in orange on the epg.

Ya. All 5% of programmes in HD. Not even The Sunday Game is in HD! It seems to be all for nothing. Lets hope it gets better.

Thank god this channel has come to Sky - The PQ on the SD channels from Ireland has been a joke for years.

    I for one am delighted.

What? The PQ is miles better even if it's upscaled.

Rte wont have a hd studio set up for a while to come....sports events excluding the in studio content and hd tv series is all that you will see in hd for the next good while....i think it will be a couple of yeats before rte have a hd studio fully setup in doneybrook.

After Sky making RTE flag the HD content I wonder will they now flag it on the saorview epg?

    There's no digital text either.

A box re-boot fixes the no program info problem.

Is this likely to follow soon?

Hopefully, it would be a good addition.

There's something up with the EPG & the HD programs highlighted in orange.

For instance, suburgatory (scheduled for 7pm this evening) isn't highlighted orange (despite the program description specifying HD) when I open the program guide but when I scroll to the right to later program's it turns orange. Anyone else see this issue?

Change your box settings to highlight hd programs.

And for me too, reboot your box and see if that fixes it.

    Hopefully.

At least us non-Sky customers should be able to check what's flagged as HD content via Sky's online programme guide: http://tv.sky.com/tv-guide (Need to select Republic of Ireland HD from the menu on top)

They don't have it updated to show RTE TWO HD yet.

Any info on what the bitrate is like compared with Saorview?

It's RTE,the content will be 99% rubbish whether it's SD or HD.

Anyhow, even upscaled HD is better than the SD picture so be happy folks.
