Just want to say Happy Anniversary to my darling husband. I cant believe that it was 14 years ago today it only seems like yesterday but 14 years and 2 boys later here we still are please god the next 14 years will be as kind to the both of us. We've had our ups and our downs like everyone but I wouldn't change u for the world - all my love always xxx

    the husband isn't on facebook!!!!

Haha my moms friend is in Facebook, and posts smushy lovey dovey stuff about her perfect family and her gorgeous husband. On Saturday nights in real life she goes to the pub by herself and drinks with other men, and refers to the husband around close friends as "that bastard"

You start fake pages, you link to sites using adfly or maybe the site is just infested with ads and viruses = money in the long run.

you know those annoying people who use hashtags on FB - the idiots who really do it, not the ones that use multiupdate apps - well from now on they're going to be non entrants to this thread...

    FB are introducing the hashtag

but a new breed should emerge from it :pac:

I have some tiny bit of sympathy with the bereaved posting on fb. To me it seems like they want everyone to know that they still miss the deceased.
Personally I don't see the point myself and i would never do it myself. But If it brings them comfort who am I to judge .
    .

+1 I see it much the same as an In-memoriam, or anniversary remembrance in the local paper.
Sometimes folks just want let people know they are remembering those they've lost, I see it as no harm no foul really.

Think anyone going on Jeremy Kyle should have a psychiatric evaluation before they go on it.

I have honestly only ever seen that show once, but know of similar ones over here in Germany, and to be honest, I think most of the people on the show actually must get a psychiatric evaluation before they go on it and those who aren't somewhat insane aren't allowed on, only the "crazies" get accepted

I do that as well :o Mostly it's to shame myself into keeping it up so that I can't just say 'ah feck it, I won't bother, no one will know'. I'mm sure no one really pays attention to them but I feel like it helps in some small way to keep me motivated. I don't do any of the other stuff on this thread though :pac:

Sorry lol just after I posted about this I thought of just that as being reason why:)
Possibly it irks me only as I am slightly ashamed that I cannot do the same.

I think people use fb for different reasons. Personally I see little real benifit to my own life from it. I get a lot more from boards tbh. And in real life I find contacting people directly to be a lot more satisfying .
But others just love fb so I try to just scroll on and let them at it. (Maybe after a little giggle or eye roll if required)

I suppose as most don't buy papers daily any more posting in memorial status is more immediate to people. I know myself that we only buy Sunday papers. And use the wonder that is rip.ie for funeral times etc.

It's quintessentially car crash tv at it's very best but I wouldn't announce it on facebook that I was going on it. That girl has since taken down that status too.

The "not joking" part is the best thing about that post
