They are going waaaaaay over the top about how good a singer Susan Boyle is... She's a good singer but she's not a great singer.. similar to Mary Byrne.

She's in a different class to Mary Byrne, SuBo is a far better singer.

Mooney is going over the top with the coverage of the show, though. It's like an extended advert.

She is better than Mary Byrne, more melodic some how.

News to me, I never got word that I had been allowed off the list

Ah yes, Mike and the Arts Show. I remember a Scrap Saturday sketch where Mike was at an arts exhibition (accompanied by an actually informed arty person) when he mistook a fire extinguisher hanging on the wall for an exhibit.
