Jaysus, Brenda out and about doing artificial insemination, as you do......

Nora is just as good a poet as Michael Twee, and that's not saying much.

Just wondering why didnt somebody in RTE just have the balls to move D'Arcy in to Tubridy's slot... The housewives obviously love D'Arcy, so they could put him straight in to the 9-11... sorry 8.45am-11.00am slot and they would have a pretty good chance of taking D'Arcy's current audience with him....
That's a great idea. Since they don't want to get rid of Tubridy they could move him to Derek's slot instead.

Would boost 2FM's figures for sure.

The conspiracy side of me says they won't do that as Tubridy should/may pick up D'Arcy's old listeners and they can claim he is increasing in popularity etc. etc.

    When does Mr. D'Arcy start?

Never heard him on the radio before - will definitely tune in for his first show.

    February 2nd.

I wish I could share your optimism about Ray D'Arcy, but the fact is, he was carried by Zig and Zag for much of his career ;)

I believe it IS Martian, sorry, Marty Morrisey.
Not as bad as Mooney, but instead of campy gay stuff, we'll have wall to wall GAA.
But, beware, no one knows where Donohoe will pop up in the New Year.
Just when you think it's safe to get back into the water.....

I dont think it's right to even ask...

I couldn't believe my ears when I heard Nathan Carter belting out Tequila makes her clothes fall off. Does anyone on RTE consider that song is remotely appropriate to sing to an 11 year old girl who has just won this prize. Maybe it's time for Derek to stick to the animals all right.

Brenda is totally out of her depth here.
During a fairly serious conversation about Charlie Haughey and satire,
long time Irish tesp, Eamonn Morrissey, told her to "ah give over that, will ya", when she started whoopin' an a hollerin' after they played an old clip of him on Hall's Pictorial Weekly.
It's a surprisingly pleasant change from Mooney.

Brenda was nothing short of an embarrasment just now with Barry Lang, he just about tolerated her at times.

The title of this thread should be changed to "The Marty Morrissey show", but anyhow.

I think this show is an improvement on the mooney show.I know that wouldn't need much effort, says you:p, but some of the guests on are not too bad, John Simpson,Barry Lang today for example, others I cant think of right now.I know some (or all maybe) might not agree, but I think so anyway.

It is refreshing not to have to listen to Jedward or Louis Walsh.

A "come here Brenda" competition. Jeez, you'd not want to win it.

Also this contributor refers to New Caledonia as "French Polynesia" - which are 4500km apart

Mooney will be hacked off about this
    http://www.irishtimes.com/business/media-and-marketing/ray-d-arcy-s-rt%C3%A9-radio-1-show-signs-volkswagen-as-sponsor-1.2077503

All those hints about "needing to change his car", fell on deaf ears

"...no Joe, you rang me !..." A.Caller.

Mooney might have to ask for one last contribution from his show sponsors Kleenex! :)
