Seen something like that before on another tractor. Had to go back to D&S machinery to get sorted.

Whatever is wrong she's not getting the power for the control unit for the lifts

Direct line from the battery would probably blow the unit I suppose

Surely would. Not going to a main garage any way.
What I do know us that there's a constant supply to control box to keep its memory and then a supply that comes on when tractor is running. The constant is there but other supply isnt

i know this is not lift related but had problem in wiring loom, purchased tester in halfords(had driven over previous one so it's not looking too good) could have got one just as cheap in lidl last week, followed wiring colours back into dash and all were intact still blowing fuses yet none were shall i say proving positive on cross wire continuity test either,so one day while i checked earth wire continuity when power was switched on & buzzer stopped so eliminated wire by insulating both ends and fitted new earth, haven't blown fuses since. obviouxly squashed wires or earthing similar to placing live and earth fence wires side by side. will change loom section if problem re-occurs.but in your case are final contact points okay ,saw contamination in Daf gear box to upset safety mechanism

Ye I took off all earths and cleaned then well and then any joins I could get at I took apart and cleaned them well. Still no joy.
Every thing works apart from the control box for the lifts

A couple of people asked about embedding/uploading images from smartphones.
One of the other mods found this thread explaining it with photos if anyone would like to try it out. :)

Two PBR Limousins heifers we're keeping for breeding, one CWI & other ERE.
    Difference in colour is amazing!

Thanks! A tad low in milk on one side. The lass with the CCW heifer is off Tarot and she has great milk. The other one is off a cow of my own mixed breeding, milk is ok, don't know if ERE will bring much. Time will tell I guess.

Cow on back left has no shortage of milk anyway. What bull is she off? What bull is CCW? Lovely stock btw.

  • Registered Users Posts: 557 ✭✭✭Butcher Boy

Castleview Casino, perhaps I have the code wrong!! Cow on back left is off Navarin (LM) bull with a strange dam. I think I have a photo of her somewhere.....hang on....

Casino is CWI. Was talking to my vet last nite. He likes Navarin cows because they are so docile. I wonder are his straws still available?

CWI then, sorry! Yup, Navarin bred are all incredibly docile here. Then again, so is everything else. Found a few very old photos of our first blues and of that cows dam.

What weight would those cows be about. Do they manage on slats or have you cubicles for them to lie on?

LOOOOOOOL cubicles. We have a three bay one side shed. 6 cows per bay depending on heifers being held over. Only two are matted and have pens behind . They are all easy to handle so walk out to the calving pens across the way when needed.
Meh, we aim for 550kg, some are less, some are more. Our best two are max 520kg.

Don't aim for quantity, aim for quality.

*when I say best I mean best converter of cow size to milk production to calf.

Thanks, that's good to know. Keep telling the cow that if she doesn't have a heifer calf you'll get rid of her. It works wonders for me;)
