I measured 26.64 Garmin miles last year while running the blue line so make your calculations based on this.
The problem is one of tall buildings. They interfere with your satellite reception. That means that it is very unlikely you will get the same result twice, so basing your pace on 26.64 is just as incorrect as basing it on 26.2. The best thing to do is to print off a pace-band, and make sure you have a 'time' field displaying on your watch.

Anyway, enough of the nitty-gritty. Very best of luck to one and all. It is a wonderful marathon and a wonderful experience, and I hope you enjoy the celebrations as much afterwards as you do the race experience that comes before the celebrating! Go n-éirí an bóthar leat.

Early flight in the morning. Hope they let me bring my cold porridge, pasta and bagels through security (they did for Paris so should be ok). I'll be the 6ft 6' bloke in the white Kilcoole AC singlet if anyone wants to say hello. Looking forward to it now. It's always good to be finishing work and heading off.

Post all your race reports up here guys (as well as on your logs of course). Save us the hassle of trawling through heaps of logs.

    Best of luck tomorrow.

Very warm here today. Was stressing a little about it earlier but in hindsight it beats 50mph winds and driving rain. Wind is non existent here. Best if luck to everyone.
