So people were on to me telling me last night the LMGs have been buffed.

The gist is they're all 3 shot kills now at all ranges, bar the m60 at shotgun range which is a 2 hit kill. The weakest lmg, the l86 was originally a 5 hit kill at range is now one of the strongest. The mk46 and the m60 are still top when it comes to fire rate and damage potential respectively but the l86 is the big winner in the lmgs as it easy to use with it's fast reload, good fire rate and low recoil. The downside of the buff is it lessens the pkp's importance as it was the lmg with the longest 3 shot kill range (bar the m60) before the buff and now has very little going for it. Both it and the mg36 are left behind.

I'd agree with Tmartn's vid that grip is better than kick, but I definitely think he's wrong thinking marksman is better than stalker especially as he's emphasising the importance of mobility on lmgs. Speed proficiency and stalker gives you enough mobility and is an alternative to running extreme conditioning as a tier one perk. I've not had a chance to try out many of the lmgs since the update and see any noticeable improvement but the buff should increase the variety of setups like impact, grip, recon and hardline pro. The silencer not affecting damage could be a boon but more than likely it'll encourage campers.

If I'm honest I'm glad the lmgs got a buff but I think the manner in which it was implemented wholesale on an entire class is just lazy/naive by the developers. Making them all identical in doing 3 shot kills, reduces variety and only brings a form of communism to mw3. I can see the silencer not affecting damage being a real problem over time.

Got the new maps this evening and started playing them to see what they were like. Little did I know the world of hurt I was letting myself in for. The amount of camping/assassin/blind eye/dead silence that was going on was nuts. I don't see how you learn a new map by sitting in a corner, seems like going for reward without putting in any effort.

Think they'd give double weapon xp as well or a few prestige tokens cause so many are 15th.But that'd make sense and treat people as if IW actually listen to people that play the game...

I'd much more prefer the choice on game boot up for 1 Hour of Double XP, 2 Hours of Weapon XP or one prestige token.

id much prefer if they just fixed some of the crap that happens in it. i just love that i can empty the best part of a full clip at someone and get 6-7 hit markers and not put them down but they can take me out with one shot. place must be littered with Neo type feckers from the matrix dodging bullets

I'd say it'll just give you an extra 2hours that'd come into effect when the xp weekend finishes
