So your saying MT is wrong???

I am saying looking at the current suite of models outputted at 00z, the UKM, the ECM, the GFS and the NAE model that they show no more than 1-2mm of snow ( which would translate to 1-2cm of snow) for Leinster/ South Midlands/ Southeast.

So i want to know how he is making his forecast or is he now totally focusing on another event due Sunday morning.

Wheres this trough coming from MT is talking about? Is it the band forming south of Iceland now?

You know a lot more about charts than me but would this only give 1 or 2cm??

Woke up to no snow this morning. It's very frosty outside I'd say the roads are bad. Still hopeful for some of the white stuff today.

Yes because if you look airflow is a North/North westerly. The East/South east needs it coming from the east.

ECM is probably the best of the morning suite and ye maybe 2-3cm tops.

Here it is on the Met site, precip

    http://www.met.ie/forecasts/5day-atlantic.asp

A very light period of precip and breaking up before moving into Irish sea, recharging and hitting Wales and England with some heavy stuff.

Snow in Esker, Athenry (about 2 miles east of the town.)
Approx 3 cms. Powdery and frozen. Can't make a snowman.

Had some light flurries but sky currently clear.

    Dark clouds to the north.

Lads MT said only 2-3 cm in the East today, this is the same thing weathercheck is saying also.

So no one is saying anyone is wrong

Judging on differing opinions on todays charts.. you might not get any fun.. or very little. Its a wait and see and watch the radar day:(

Light snow here in the eastern part of Galway city this morning. Nothing very much, just a dusting on the roads and grass.
