You sure? I think a couple of them are old, but some - for instance the landscape shots - seem to be new.
Sure no harm in having some gaming screenshots that don't involve boring brown corridors :D

yip, came out in early in January.

    This looks interesting!

They're new. The one with the guy and the club and the perched dragon. Maybe I should unsubscribe from this thread, it will only keep me thinking about it.:pac:

a little off topic but any body who's looking for mods for Fallout3,FalloutNV or Oblivion should check out the Nexus

Thats nice but it doesnt do much to affect the combat or journal issues that always bothered me about the game.

Some more news. I cannot wait for this game!

The French edition of the official PlayStation Magazine has provided a wealth of new information regarding Bethesda's upcoming RPG "Skyrim." Here's a rundown of the newly announced features, with some descriptions to explain what they all mean.

I haven't been looking forward to a game so much in years.

Dragon encounters will not be scripted events. These Dragons may attack towns and cities during its travels, which may cause it to be set ablaze

    :D

Can someone explain to me what dragon shouts are?

I assumed it meant you could call dragons :S seems overpowered though.

Sounds good, the new spell should be interesting. I'm not sure about the magnetism thing in friendly fire. Oblivion was a bit problematic at times but that was usually NPCs running into your fire or using area spells. I hope it's not too auto-aimish. Has anyone played Assassin's Creed Brotherhood for input?

They're a special kind of spell, like a greater power in Oblivion by the sound of it. Some of them, the spell words are in three parts and you have to collect them, if I recall correctly.

It's a little like the combat system in Arkham Asylum. Point in the general direction and attack and keep an eye out for counter attacks.

im not happy until i see some actual gameplay. then again that would prob get me more unsettled and november is a long ways away

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 7,352 ✭✭✭funky penguin

Agreed! I'm comfortable about it, but since it's so melee heavy, it really is one of teh most important elements. November be damned, I want some footage! :pac:

    DO WANT :D

looks good. a few glimpses of gameplay seem to indicate everything looking familiar but even shinier than ever.

    HOLY ****!

Seriously, that looks fantastic. Glad they put in some proper gameplay bits, and delighted to see a stealthy/assassin character in there. The world looks amazing, and if they can actually make the finished game look like that, i'll be damn happy.

    And the music!

Really looking forward to it. I want to climb that huge mountain shown near the end.

That music is epic, reminiscent of Morrowind but with a heavier sound kicking in. I hope it's a good glimpse of what's to come.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,345 ✭✭✭Somnus

    Holy shít that looks amazing!!

I definitely agree with Quarryman about it looking very familiar gameplay wise, but those graphics are gorgeous. Cannot wait for this to come out.

And the music  Absolutely immense

Heard the music has similarities to both Morrowind and Oblivion, so could be an Elder Scrolls theme song, slightly tweaked to reflect the Nordic inspired lands.

Wouldnt mind if the gameplay is similar to Oblivion, gameplay was good but needed a few tweaks here and there.

Ya,it uses the main Elder Scrolls theme, it just changes the arrangement. Same as with Morrowind and Oblivion.

    Confimation here, 4th video
