    Yes it is. To be honest I'd only really look at the index on low spec PCs. On higher spec machines, there are better ways to judge real performance but for low end it can be a quick way to see how it stands up.

    its fast alright, gets crazy hot but there are 3 fans the size of wind generators under her that are pretty much on all the time!

    Just as an update. Some you might like to see the CPU score on this...

    Interestingly while it scores higher than my i3@4Ghz did. On one of my heavy single threaded tasks the i3@4Ghz take only a day whereas this takes 2 days.

    Suppose its time I got an SSD hard drive upgrade. Any suggestions for a not too expensive one?

    Signifigant e-peen growth, a firmware upgrade has just boosted my Corsair Force SSD from 7.0 to 7.4 on the original score :)
