A friend of mine got a smear test done a few years back. Anyways she had the legs spread, mid smear, and suddenly she could see a window washer-man over the nurses shoulder -they were quiet a few stories up so didnt see the need to close the blinds:o:pac:

edit: it was bubles washin them with his bollox(before he got famous obviously)

Don't think that matters- They recommend everyone over 25.

Though I am 24 and had one 2 years ago and it returned abnormal cells afaik so I'm a bit weary!

Well, if you're 25+ you get the smear for free!

I thin younger people should have them, like part of a routine STI screeing as early detection of any changes can be a lifesaver like.

Smear tests aren't anythin to do with being sexually active-they detect changes that could lead to cancer and things.
Defo get one done-like Misticles said, you should be able to get it free. There is a website to check and register, but my doc did it for me,so i'm not sure what it is.
It's only once every 3years you need it if everything is ok. They can be a bit uncomfortable, but don't last too long.

Mine was supposed to cost 80e! She did it for free for me

She was quite reluctant to give me it pre 25 for some reason but I insisted as the results came back before and were a bit dodge! Yet they have no record of that... hhmmm...

Either I dreamt that or they were never sent on.

Every woman over 25 should be written out to in due course about getting a smear test but if you haven't received a letter you can register on the website.
