Why do I get a fake tracking number with my monitor that tells me it arrived in Texas last year

Give it time, it probably hasn't updated properly yet on their system.

Either that or there is a typo.

Lads where's the best deal on Windows 7 keys right now? Home Premium or Pro, whichever is cheaper. Just the key required.

Never got proper updates when I got mine. Told me my monitor was in Australia the day I got it delivered.

Not that most around here would anyway but don't go buying any OCZ PSUs or cheapo SSD, warranties on everything bar a handful of "higher" end OCZ SSD lines are being terminated by Toshiba.

    http://www.techspot.com/news/55528-toshiba-cutting-warranties-for-all-oczs-non-ssd-products.html

Towards the end of 2013, Toshiba agreed to purchase the bankrupted OCZ for $35 million in a deal that included all of OCZ's assets, their development team and SSD technology. Although the brand has been kept alive as OCZ Storage Solutions, a number of product warranties have been killed, as a recent report details.

If you happen to own a recent, high-end OCZ solid state drive, you're in luck: Toshiba is honoring the full warranty of the entire Vertex series, the Vector series and most RevoDrives. Warranties for the mid-range Agility drives - which were originally three years long - have been shortened, and will end on January 22, 2015.

All other solid state drives, including budget models and discontinued series, are no longer under warranty; neither are any of OCZ's non-SSD products, such as their PSUs, DRAM modules, DIY notebooks and USB drives. Some of these products, such as OCZ's PSUs, are still available from retailers, and it seems they will be completely out of warranty from the moment you purchase them.

My 290x arrived today. Just had a look at it there and on the retention plate is an msi warranty seal that if removed, voids warranty :(:(.
No idea what to do now after the hassle I had with the last 290x.
I might email msi and see is it covered to put waterblocks on them, if not might have to send it back and get a different brand :(

Not sure their (US) warranty page isn't very clear either.

    http://us.msi.com/service/warranty/

The MSI product MUST be free of any physical damage due to improper installation or modification of ANY kind (this includes installing aftermarket parts) or the warranty WILL be VOID.

The product MUST be returned to MSI in the original factory configuration and condition. All aftermarket modifications must be reversed prior to sending in the product for repair or replacement..

Technically you could read the first paragraph in two ways:

The MSI product MUST be free of any physical damage, due to improper installation or modification of ANY kind
    OR
The MSI product MUST be free of any physical damage due to improper installation, or modification of ANY kind

I did a bit of research on it and according to multiple sources once you dont physically damage the card you are fine and they will cover it. The only reason the sticker is there is for the asian market so I think I will stick with the card then :D

So I've decided to say fk it and get a 290 to compliment my Qnix. Is the best value one the Gigabyte one with bf4? Or is there better (That's 400 odd with delivery)

You'd still have warranty with your retailer here, so not as bad as it sounds.

That's an OEM disk, mate. Apart from problems it might develop when registering what I don't understand is - how is this even legal?

Is this the cheapest R9 290 there is? 403 euro delivered still seems quite steep.
