Some models still on for a storm . GFS weakens it a bit and it doesnt have a direct hit on Ire/Eng. The below models still show a seriously strong storm. Tomorrows updates will be interesting

    i trust the ecm

as well as the potential for very windy weather, if it comes off like this, it could bring a fairly cool snap for a day or two, before the cold gets shut off.

Holy mother of god that'll be a beast of a storm if it actually makes that intensity!! 955MBS DIRECTLY OVER IRELAND!

And yes i do think there was a need for CAPS locks in this case

You should keep an eye on this one. If the 18Z GFS came off, Isle of Man could see sustained winds of 90kmph at times and gusts over 100kmph.

Canadian model has something closer to a proper storm for the south at T144 :pac:

    2pyusfc.gif

    f4dx6t.gif

Inland gales. Strong gales in coastal areas. Storm force winds just off the south coast about to hit land. :D That might be the best storm since 1997 for me if that came off.

Pity its FI and just on one model.

GFS FI showing some nasty cold weather for next weekend:

102 hours isn't really FI but but anyway....

    2qc11xu.gif

Deepening low pressure system skimming very close to us as it moves northeastwards. Nothing spectacular about that really but it could bring fairly windy but not stormy conditions in places. Nothing at all like yesterdays storm but who knows, maybe it will be more intense/interesting in future runs?

    *Strawclutching*

18Z has upgraded this feature a bit. That could bring a brief few hours of gales for some coastal areas:

Yeah, and MT mentions the possibility of snow inland in sheltered areas, as well as frost over night, met eireann also mention frosty conditions.
Looks like that chart is delivering!

EDIT: misread and thought you were talking about this weekend, lol should have realised I was in F1 Land!

it can get quite cold from such a set-up in late november, sometimes though. The cold air will eventually pools its way here anyway after a week or so.

i'd prefer to see this pattern emerge a bit later so as to increase our chances of a breakdown not occurring till around Christmas time. Frontal snow on Christmas Day anyone?

Frontal snow on Christmas Day anyone?

Frontal snow pushing up from the southeast, dumping masses of the white stuff along the south coast and then pushing up further inland....
