    I know I am!

Actually, could anybody clear up some confusing regarding the timetable for me? I get how it works, but it says I have 2 lectures on at the same time? I'm confused as I don't know what to do?

    Here's my timetable: http://timetable.ucc.ie:8010/reporting/individual?objectclass=programme+of+study&idtype=id&identifier=BSCSF1%0D%0A&t=programme+of+study+individual&days=1-7&weeks=5-16;20-31&periods=1-20&template=programme+of+study+individual

On thursday, from 2.00 to 3.00 it says I have

    CS1107/L
    C_WGB_G01
    Wks 5-16

    but also

    GE0006/LC
    C_ORB_G42 (S)*
    Wks 5-16, 20-31

This is a bit confusing? Anyone care to help me out a bit? What does the (s)* mean?

Kermash, see Byron85's post about the timetable arrangement, it's very good and I think it should help you: here

With regards to the (s)* it could mean study, seminar I'm not totally sure.

When you've your orientation it might be more clearer.

Ask specific questions if you're still not sure.

Hey guys, going in for registration tomorrow, just wondering what I need? Have my proof of online registration, birth cert & passport. Is that all the official stuff that I need?

That should be it. If you paid by Giro you'll also need the receipt. For the IT tour bring your students ID and PIN, but you don't need to have those - it's just handy to get everything set up in one go.

    Definitly don't.

Also, don't step on the crest under the arch of the North Wing. You'll get preganant. Even if you're a man :o

If you do need to go in there, bring a compass and a survival pack with plenty of food!

I heard its like trying to use a compass at the poles. Its just spins round and round and round and round and...... A trail of bread crumbs may suffice. Although i have heard those BIS heads get very hungry :P

the password is the password you use to do registration part one, on sit.ucc.ie

Log into that, with your student number and PIN and down the left hand side of the page that pops up, you should see student email (new) - if you click on that, it should bring you to your email

Head is spinning from orientation today! Too much information & way too much running around the place. We had lunch at 10.45  and then were on the go from 11.15 to 5 :( would have skipped out the afternoon except that I'm transferring directly in to second year & we had a meeting for transfer students at 4.30 so had to go to everything :(

Anyway, quick question about blackboard. Decided to log on to it earlier & I don't seem to be registered for any courses on the blackboard site. Just wondering is that normal & will they show up after the 20th or should I get on to the IT helpdesk about it?

It might be a case that your lecturers have not enrolled you in their course yet or have not their notes up , I'd say wait until the 20th and see - none of my modules from last year were up until the night before we started!

If they aren't up on the 20th, you can browse the course catalog and enroll yourself in the modules that you have on your timetable!

I'm going into 2nd year arts. Whats the difference between single honors and a major degree with regards post-grad options?
