    ok, download this.

    http://www.mirc.com/

    When you run it, type in a username, email etc.

    Then go to servers, select quakenet and random quakenet server.

    Click OK, and then press the connect button at the top.

    Type in boards.ie and join.


    Someone already has a chatroom setup but no1's in it so dont see any harm using that.


    IRC is probably the best chat program out there tbh, at least for gamers.

    Another useful thing,

    go to the connect options, click "Perform", tick perform on connect and type "/join #boards.ie". This will join the channel when you connect to irc so you dont have to type it in every time. I'd suggest someone making a sticky on Irc if people are serious about using it.

    After I see MOTD we'll play some random private matches and hopefully when the people in my house **** off I can put on my mic.

    My interest wanes terribly when playing Ground War or Domination(main reason why I left after 2 games in the early hours).

    Sounds cool to me. I've no mic though, trying to set up that IRC thing now. Can't find quakenet listed in the servers.

    And the tally for shooting down air support in 1 game was
    harrier,harrier,uav,ac,harrier,pavelow, uav,uav :pac:
    Most were magfag's.


    He'll fix that problem in 2 mins, ingame atm.

    Will have one match of Mike Myres and see if everyone likes it first.

    Rules for those who don't know -

    1. One person is Mike Myres & they pick the bottom Team Rangers, etc. The rest pick the top team Spetnaz, etc.

    2. The person that is Myres has to kill everyone on the other team by only using his knife & throwing knife and he is the only one who can use Ninja.

    3. Myres can only be killed by the last man standing.

    4. If you were killed 1st by Myres. You become Myres in the next match.

    5. If the person that is Myres gets killed, they are Myres again..

    6. Commando is not allowed. Lightweight and Marathon should be used obviously.

    Like I said, we'll try this first and see if you's like it and if yes then we'll have a few more. Also have an entire pistols only match. Riot shield only match. Some proper matches as well.

    Sounds fun, at least there's a standard set of rules, people I play with make them up as they go along :rolleyes:
