Do you think dunnes would take on someone who could only work evenings, four days a week? It's only two minutes away from my house and would be a handy way to get some money..

2 months stuck on one page for jobs in Limerick really shows the current situation doesn't it? And most of the posts are discussions.

Majority of them unfortunately are recruitment agencies harvesting c.v's.

Many of them aren't. And to put it in perspective, many companies will only advertise on their own sites and not bother with places like IrishJobs and RecruitIreland. On top of that, most jobs aren't advertised at all publically - it's all about networking and who you know.

I wouldn't say many of them, I'd say Some of them are'nt. Very true in regards to who you know, back to the 80's for us Limerick folk.

    All I will say is:

Keep on trying. Jobs are out there but unfortunately ALL jobs may not suit ALL candidates.

I was 4 months out of work. Im a salesman. Its hardly a specialised area but because there are some many salespeople unemployed the market is dilluted with great "talent".

Just because there are little jobs on this thread does not mean there are little jobs out there. 99% of people in Ireland will have likely never heard of boards.ie let alone a micro regional forum.

    Hi guys,

Has anyone heard where the new iceland is going to be? and if there are any advertisements for vacancies yet? missed the boat with boots and don't want to make the same mistake again. I went on to iceland.co.uk but their careers page doesn't list the republic as a location. No iceland.ie as of yet

    Hi guys,

So sorry for the delay, I'm a student nurse so I've been on the wards all week (too shattered to even turn on the laptop). Anyway Thanks a million for the link to the irish site. I have no idea why I didn't find it myself.

I emailed my cv to them and also asked were the reports correct about a limerick store. I'll let ye know if I get a mail back. I'm trying hard to find a part time job, I badly badly need it. Just like everybody else really.
