I thought this was gonna be about battlefield europe (which is a realistic ww2 tank mmo that is a fair bit old now) but it looks like the tongue is firmly in the cheek in a good way.

I finally got into the beta and registered my first kill at the weekend!

Most of the time, though, I'm just driving around and getting blown up. I usually manage a shot on the enemy first, but then they just seem to blow me to bits with their reply. (I'm using the two 'starter' tanks). Does anyone have any suggestions for how to actually get more kills, or is it a case of building up my gold till I can get a better tank?!

Well the "Gold" currently is issued every 24 hours or so and when the games goes live instead of paying for the game or a monthly sub you buy gold if you want to.

As for a new tank keep building up your credits and exp. then go for either a PzKpfw II or a T-26. Then again with those just keep building up and upgrading your tanks.

I havent stopped playing this game since I started playing it about a week ago.

Not going too high up the tech trees yet, just level 3 stuff, but really fun.

Had a great tactical finish to a game yesterday where I had no ammo left (SU-18), and only 2 of us left (the other guy was also an SPG) and I went out across the map as bait I circled around, found a few of their guys who tried to kill me, nly to be shelled from above.

I managed to take they're base on my own, as their last 2 tanks were heading over to our base to try take it.

Neither of us had any ammo left was great craic!

Got my key installed joined a battle, got killed then waited an age to respawn.
Seems to have potential though.

how do you get the key from shatteredcrystal? do you have to add on cart and proceed to the payment page?

You don't respawn.

You can exit that battle, then if you have a second tank enter another battle with that one.

You can have up to 5 tanks on the go. So you get killed > back to garage > new tank > enter battle > rinse, repeat!

Have been playing quite a bit lately (though not enough to get to the higher tiers, so people must be on this game 24/7 seriously).

Have a Pz III and a Wespe. Though I have the Grille unlocked, but I'd rather keep my Wespe.

Yep, haven't stopped.

I REALLY like the game. Some small issues to sort out, but its excellent.

Currently have a T-43, Hummel & BT-7 all maxed out.

Debating whether to get a T-44, or go down the TD line. Have about 45k free XP, and 2m credits.

The squad system isn't great, but at least gets you into the same games as the members of your squad (max is 3 players to a squad).

There is no squad chat as yet, but if you use TS or something it can be very enjoyable.

Got on the beta this morning. Took a couple of days for the application to be processed. Liking it so far. Though I think they need to increase the draw distance. Oh and more servers please

Don't have any issues with the draw distance - what you are experiencing may be to do with the view distance your tank has.

Has anyone been able to use the squad function yet? I like the idea, but limiting it to 3 per squad seems a bit small.

Nevermind, downloaded eventually. Installed, played a couple of games and then uninstalled it. Too few on the battlefield, it's not an MMO.

Its not really an MMO, its been Beta'd with 15v15 max per battle. Thats not going to be the only game mode though, and there are plans for persistent battles etc

I'm really enjoying it though.

Been playing this most of week and it's good fun. It can be grind trying to get your tank upgraded so it can actually do some good. For a while the match making was messed up, a BT-7 (20mm armor at its thickest, 37mm gun) going up against IS-3s and King Tigers. They've thankfully sorted that out. I like the feature that allows your to leave the game once you've been knocked out, pick another one of your tanks and jump into another game, come back and see get the credits and XP from the previous game once it's over.

signed up to the beta yesterday thanks to the key provided here, played for a good while yesterday, leveled up a few tanks and replaced a good few too, at first i was getting owned in my freebie valentine, but i sold that for 200k silver then and concentrated on working my way up.
have to say, its really fun, cant wait for the full game release.

One I will state - using gold for a premium account is more beneficial in the long run than converting it to credits. Just something to bear in mind....

New patch should be out this month at some stage - brings the American tree and a host of new features.

Have a KV-3, T-43 (fully upgraded, 100% crew), Hummel (fully upgraded, 100% crew) & A-20 for scouting in my garage.

Having great fun with the game!

nope, 250,000 silver. it was a freebie tank i got with the beta, not sure if it was a limited time jobbie but i was the only one using it, for good reason, its sh1t and cant be upgraded i dont think.

bring on the yankies tree!!

Yeah the Valentine is pretty rubbish, but you got one free if you got your key via some site (think the same one posted above).

Release date hasn't been set yet, but should be by the end of this year - before x-mas I'd imagine.

I've been in it since the start of July.

The 'buddy' system isn't sully implemented yet, but you can add 'contacts' alright, and you can then form a squad of up to 3 players to battle together.

I wouldn't be worrying about destroying other tanks yet - how the battles are organised, you're gonna be the bottom of the bottom in a lot of battles.

Go the Russian TD or SPG line - better than the German IMO.

I do have a Jagdpanzer IV also (forgot about that one above lol) which is good, and the top tier German TD's aren't bad.

Keep going down the Russian Heavy line also - you won't be disappointed. Keep to the play style of the tank you're playing. i.e don't try to be a heavy / medium if you're a light scout.

i downloaded using the torrent link on the official site and utorrent, 1.2 gig, took about 15 mins.

try downloading the english language pack update from the official site.

got 4 kills last night in the one round with my fully kitted out trakktor, couldnt believe it.

was playing online with my brother, couldnt get the option to make a squad, so we were both hitting battle at same time, worked every time though

The game is playyed to be a MMO so I imagine that you'll have to pay a monthly fee to take opart in clan matches. There isn't expected to be a once-off fee.

From the model that they've been talking about - there has never been a mention of any 'monthly fee'.

However, you may need to have a 'premium' account to play in clan matches, or at least some of your clan will need to have premium accounts.

Premium can be bought monthly upon release for about €10~, so this can be viewed as kind of a monthly fee I suppose.

You will also be able to purchase Gold.
