People who quote an entire post theyre replying to when its only necessary to quote a small part of it or indeed not to quote it at all.

  • Registered Users Posts: 18,159 ✭✭✭✭phasers

When people talk about what gender I am instead of deaing with the topic at hand ...

Also people who post single word replies to get a load of thanks, I hate those guys so damn much it hurts sometimes.

    And parody threads.

    Misleading/unclear thread titles

  • Registered Users Posts: 540 ✭✭✭Intothesea

Insidious atheist types who waft in after statements that co-incidentally reference religion (in a Christian society, imagine that) to set things 'right', and usually with 2-bit humour.

That crappy, sorta funny posts get tons of Thanks, whereas well researched, informative and interesting posts get none.

So if I thank your post, will you be offended or happy?

People who can't cop that Ireland is culturally Catholic.

    Reminds me of Jedward.

    TL;DR.

Self righteous Twats who even when you explain facts to them, still think they are right. Admit you're wrong and get on with it.

Mad Men's Don Draper : What you call love was invented by guys like me, to sell nylons.

The way you can't see what people did to get banned - it's like when they surround a car crash with police cars so you can't see the action.

    Very annoying.

  • Registered Users Posts: 14,772 ✭✭✭✭Whispered

Mods who know who you are IRL but hide behind their alias and passive agressively make decisions based on half true stories they hear from friends of friends.

    Actually you can: http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/banlist.php

Forum/cat bans are usually obvious from the poster.

People who say "each to their own".

Would they apply the same mantra to a paedophile? Hardly.

So in reality, while attempting to appear all liberal and open, what they are saying is each to their own, within the boundaries of what they personally find acceptable, which is not really each to their own.

People who make their struggles against religion part of their identity and let it all hang out on internet message boards. But wait, this was my original point. Back on topic so :pac:

That sort of internet speak where posters add a H to the end of a word or change letters around. eg "teh interwebz" or "ha ha, you're ghey".

I just don't get it, probably cos I'm too old for it.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,142 ✭✭✭Ebbs

    New Posters...:p

Oh and "professional" views on subjects people know nothing about. I dont mind opinions but when opinions are taken as fact.

  • Registered Users Posts: 537 ✭✭✭blond45

people who complain about programes on tv but still watches them.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 8,021 ✭✭✭Mike 1972

People who claim any spell of cold weather as evidence that global warming is a hoax

Who tend to be the same people whose response to any spell of warm/sunny weather is "If this is global warming bring it on"
