what id love for these people to try and find out is if the non premium cars (like 800) have any sort of cockpit view in them at all, also i wish sony would just pull the finger out and release a damn date already i mean hasnt everyone waited enough already?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,539 ✭✭✭Icyseanfitz

been asking around about the cockpit view for the 800 standard cars and apparently there is none for them  wtf have they been doing for 6 years, really let down by this news

As far as I know, premium cars are detailed very specifically; interior, exterior, and even the underbody for when the car rolls over in a crash. There are roughly 200 premium cars. Standard cars do not have a detailed underbody, the exteriors won't look as good as the premium cars and ,according to interviews, will have no cockpit view. Apparently, alot of the standard cars are just lifted from GT4 and upscaled to HD. There are about 800 standard cars.

well, tbf my imo is probably worth a bit more than regular joe punters (not much, just a tad)

    facts:

the game has been finished since september
reviewers have had the game since late september, pushing into october, depending on who they are and who they write for
the game was pressed initially in october, set for nov 2nd release
sony requested the pressed copies be destroyed and replaced with new ones that required the ps3 to have the latest official firmware in order for the game to run as an anti piracy measure
the game was then pressed again
retail copies have existed in the wild since last week

ill change what ive said, you WILL be playing it by the end of the month

Do you work for Sony or Polyphony Digital? If not then your opinion is no better than any other "Joe Soap".

This game has been delayed and delayed and delayed. It was delayed when everyone was sooooooooo sure there were no others ways that it could be delayed even further. If this game is to be released in the next 2-3 weeks then the major retailers would know about it and set a release date. I cannot see this coming before 5th December.
Id be surprised to see it before christmas.

I have never seen a game with a TBC release date released within a couple of weeks of the actualy release being announced. If Sony and PD are so sure this will be released so soon and have all the discs stamped then there is absolutly no reason that they cannot give a release date. I wont believe any date until i have the copy in my hand.

Just my opinion and its based on all the BS this company has fed its potential customers over the last few years.

That wouldn't be hard. But not really a valid comparison IMO.

    English, US blog post:

    http://blog.us.playstation.com/2010/11/12/gran-turismo-5-release-date-confirmed-for-november-24th-2010/?utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=gt5_111210

Coming out November 24 there too, November 25 in Japan.

    A message from Kaz:
Gran Turismo 5 is an ambitious project, with challenges and complexities which have made it our version of the Apollo Space Program! When we created the original Gran Turismo back in 1997, we wanted to set a completely new precedent for the racing genre. With the technological leap onto PlayStation 3, our objective with Gran Turismo 5 was to create another great revolution which would not only satisfy our own high expectations, but would meet or even exceed the anticipation of the fans. Satisfying the loyal Gran Turismo followers is at the heart of all of our efforts, which is why it was such a difficult decision to delay the release of the game, and one which we did not take lightly. I can only apologize to everyone for making you wait so long, and I hope that when you try out the wealth of driving experiences available in Gran Turismo 5, you will not be disappointed.
