Give him a chance Boys and Girls!

After all he's still a young man, proud to be Irish and currently trying to work his way back from injury after being out of competitive golf for a while!

    These things take time..........

    He WILL be back!

Lowry must love the back 9 :)

Lets hope he can hold his score on the more difficult front 9.

Yikes jinxed him, just bogeyed 16th.

Just racked up a double at the par 4 6th, back to -1 for the tournament and 6 off the lead.

    Just took a 9 at a par 4

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,767 ✭✭✭Speak Now

Wonder how that 9 came about

Fought back well, 4 birdies and 1 bogey since with 4 left to play.

    Currently tied 26.

When he birded the last to finish the round the 9 was changed back to a par 4

They have him tied 6th now with lawrie :D

Great performance from Shane today in the Iberdrola Open with a 63 & 3rd on leaderboard after Darren Clarke. Hoping he keeps it up tomorrow!

    Excellent scoring from Lowry.

Clarke bogeyed the last so Lowry will be out in the final group with Wood tomorrrow.

Watched Shane playing in Mallorca today - played nicely and was very comfortable on the course. Best score of today so far by 3 shots! Hopefully he can build on this tomorrow and carve out a nice result for himself.

It will mean Shane will hold every putt as he wouldn't want to be drinking with probably his biggest event of the yeat this week coming up. (I think he will need to qualify for majors)

He'll have to try and qualify first.

U.S Open for European players is on May 30th at Walton Heath.
He missed out by 3 shots last year, Havret got in right on the mark.

Open qualification will be at a later date, he was successful last year.

He actually finished 36th(I think) in the British Open last year. He needs to push on now for the next three weeks, Simon Khan won last years BMW PGA at Wentworth so it can really go anyway.

At the moment Shane is 95th on the RTD so i am sure he will want to get himself inside the top 50 at least over the coming weeks so as he is not scrambling for a place in the top 60 like what happened last year when he missed out by one spot!!
