If he can post -4 it will make things very interesting. Currently playing the par 5 17th.

Lowry topped the putting stats with Sergio over the first 2 days.

That birdie from Garcia could be the clincher. Those around him all messing up.

Lowry has a long putt for eagle on 17.

2 putts put him second on his own!

    Ouch...

4 players now tied for second.

Absolute howler from Lowry on 17. Misses an easy putt for bird that would have given him outright second.

Missed 2 putts only slightly more difficult at the death yesterday as well. Playing well but displaying the common weakness of all golfers....writing the speech to early.

Leaves another birdie putt short on 18. Still looks good for a possible top 3 finish, best of the season.

Great round to finish by Lowry, 4th place is worth 150K so trip to Dubai sealed today! Well played.

If things stay as they are he'll earn just under 169k. If Ramsay birdies the last Lowry will take 150k.

    A good weeks work.

Must be his best tournament as a pro. Could have put an awful lot of pressure on Sergio and MAJ. But great week for him on one of the toughest courses they play on the ET. Just missed Dubai last year but this should get him in this year.

There was no easy putts with that pin position on 17.....it was nearly unfair.

Coming 4th around Valderrama is a great result on a difficult course.
Most players struggle to shoot level Par.
Its a tough but great event.
    No-one rips that one apart.
How golf at that level should be, not your 20+ under par stuff........

    Well Done Shane!

I've had a good run on bets the last two years.

Just got a feeling that Shane Lowry is going to win a major off mad odds in next 3 or 4 years.

Valderama, Wentworth, Baltray in the worst conditions ever. Certainly he seems to like a tough challenge so I wouldn't put it past him to win a major at some point.

He really should be trying to push on next year as he has all the talent to be a top 50 player imo. Keep improving his fitness and the mental side of the game and can get there.

Delighted for Lowry and Sergio... solid play from Lowry shows he really is establishing himself and great to see Sergio clicking again over past two weeks...
