A good couple of days for me. Stock is now up to 22 cents.

    Now flying

    5 x MD-80
    2 x DC-9

This would be a great time to invest In LINKAER Airlines

I purchased 50,000 in your airline, lets make this a profitable stake.

After a week of ups and downs Passage West Airlines is now ready for steady growth. We've stocked up on over 41million lbs of fuel in the past few days and that's enough to keep all 13 jet based aircraft in the air making decent money to allow for future expansion next week (business is fast eh:))

We've also shown great interest in many boardsies airlines too by investing and look forward to seeing some good returns.

..so, "What's my vector Victor, we have clearance Clarence, roger Roger.."

d'oh, I've only copped the ups and downs pun now!! I'm tired...

I have just created the 5th Base for Frayah Express in Philadelphia, All EMB and CRJ from other bases will be transfered here over the coming days.

Still awaiting the removal of the last 2 ATR's,once this has been completed we will have an all Jet fleet, ranging in size from the ERJ145 to the A340-600

    Current stock price 11.30

Will be stock piling cash over the next 24-36 hours to purchase the 2nd/3rd A340-600 and additional A340-200 and B787-8

I hope to have 100 flights from "hub" by Next Friday, which will give me the 13th Achievement in the game. After that they will be harder to come by.

There is an extra two pages of planes added now by the looks of it. Not a clue as to what new birds we may now get to choose from though.

Topik airlines has his 800,000 shares sold now (i saw he just recieved the achievement) so im going to give him 2days max or else im pulling my shares.... i hope he comes through with the $5 billion.at least the share price goes up a dollar or two everytime he sends out his fleet.

On a side note... there are 5000 shares available in my company again... cheaperthanryanair airlines. Price is as low as it is going to go because i have all my money invested and i bought fuel that will last me a week.Going to be selling all my shares before the weekend and buying aircraft so get the last of them while they are there! And like i have said before.... cheaperthanryanair airlines is going to be around for a long time and the price is going to keep on going up and up, so long term investment is strongly advised!

Just bought 3 A340-200's, they surely are the way to go, making about 1.5mill per flight, have 19 of them now, getting a nice little fleet :D

    B737-800- 1
    B787-8 -2
    B767-200ER- 2
    B757-300 -2
    A340-200 -19
    B737-500- 5
    B747-300 -1

At 15.7mill each these are without doubt the way to make money, would get 13 of them for the price of 1 A380, therefore raking in approx 19.5mill on 13 flights. Can't see an A380 making that on 3 flights which would last about 2 days!

I see billboards are at 10k per day atm. This is the cheapest I've seen it in the few days I'm playing. does it go any lower or should I buy 5 days worth? has been 35k / 40k over the past few days.

Defo, in my opinion the best value bird there is. Have 120 and counting of them.
The a380 rakes in about 6 million per flight but takes about 21 hours per flight.

They should go as cheap as 5k today. but only buy 4 days worth as they should then be back that cheap again by then, bu will be back t something like 40k in 5 days.

I find that the best wide body a/c to have is the boeing 787-8, it flies farther, carries more passsangers, uses less fuel and requires less staff.

Having gone to the most in demand route this morning for 14800km i compared the two aircraft.

Aircraft Airport tax Fuel (lbs) Flight Time Pax 1 Profit (net) 2
    A340-200 200,000 236,800 16:31:12 239 1,648,424
    B787-8 200,000 207,200 16:23:24 250 1,724,200

As you can see the boeng gets you there faster, cheaper and makes you more money.

The stats are below so you can see them side by side.

    Aircraft: A340-200 [Hide]
Fuel consumption: 16 lbs per km
    Passenger seats: 239
    Max range: 14800 km
    Cruise speed: 896 km/h

    Pilots required: 2
    Cabin crew required: 8
    Mechanics required: 5
    Cleaning required: 5

    Aircraft: B787-8 [Hide]
Fuel consumption: 14 lbs per km
    Passenger seats: 250
    Max range: 15200 km
    Cruise speed: 903 km/h

    Pilots required: 2

I'm just starting today with FAM. It says I should get a 737, and 800000 dollars, but I only got 200000. Am I misssing something?

  • Registered Users Posts: 788 ✭✭✭hick

PaintDoctor, hit the start over button on the left hand side of the overview page (!!!!!if you haven't done a load of work already that is!!!!!!) you should have gotten 800k alright.

Also agree on the B787-8, It my next upgrade
will be getting a 757 this am, hopefully my first 787 will be in two days, I'm currently getting $7m on my morning send off, probably bringing in about 15-18m per day at the moment, new 757 will bring me up to about 20m per day so reckon I'll be able to get B787-8 in two days time

On another note is anyone else seeing their reputation fluctuate???
last night it dropped from 100% where it's been for the past 10 days to 98.8% but I thought it might have been related to an a/c that was sitting in maintenance for a while that I may not of notice. I sent off all my flight and got back up to 99.5%. Then this morning when I sent off about 24 out of my 26 flights it went back up to 100%, then 5 mins later I sent off my last two flights and it dropped to 95.8%.

I can't figure it out, staff are all happy, no damaged a/c stock is up to 0.92, $8m in the bank, $3m in shares, billboards on all flights, most flights over 90% pop only four in the late 80's. Just about to hit 1200 flights and 100,000 pax
    Any ideas????

    Cheers
    Hick

    Frayah Express Update

This morning I have purchased the 1s5 B787-3 and also additional B787-8 and Fkr100's.

These will be the only aircraft purchase for the next 4 -5 days as I want to buil dup the cash resverves to purchase a number of B777's and additional A340-600's, so the stock price will only raise due to flight income.

    Current stock price 11.92

    105 aircraft/routes

    yeah a340-200 is 15.4Mil, 787-8 cost 19.5Mil.

I don't think the extra couple of staff required by the a340 make that much a difference in the op costs really.

That said, i prefer the 787-8. I like its lesser fuel consumption and I still feel that fuel prices won't be this predictable forever.

A question though, Was looking at planes in the 20 to 80 Mil region. Are any of them significantly better than the 787-8/340-200? I couldn't see that they were. Certainly not 2 or 3 times better (which you would expect considering they cost 2 or 3 times more). I struggle to see why anything between the a340-200 and a380 are worth it. Comments?

I see some people like the a340-600, How does it justify the 70mil price tag? (Actually, an extra 140 people is about an extra 800,000/flight). But still, you could pick up 4 a340-200s for that...

I found this a few days ago and I'm using it as my plan, albeit with a few MD 80 and 81's thrown in for good measure

THE BEST TO START IS WITH ERJ-190 .. THEN SHIFT TO B757 OR B767 .. THEN CHANGED YOUR AC FLEET TO B787-800 .. IF YOU HAVE 100 OF THESE .. B747 AND A380-800 IS NEXT ...
PLEASE TAKE NOTE THAT THERE ARE LESS THAN 20 ROUTES THAT FULFILL THE RANGE OF 20000KM ...

I have a few 600's at this stage. Theres not MUCH benefit but as you build your fleet over time you'll see.
    1. C Checks become more of an issue, and they are expensive and take your planes out of action for a while. The more planes you have the more of an issue this may become.
    2. 1 600 versus 4 400s, well you have a massive saving in fuel/staff and maintainence fees as well as that bit less effort in setting up routes.

I dont think theres a huge benefit but when you have the money theres nothing wrong with a few 600's.

    I am currently buying either 9 400's and a 600 per day or 2 600's and 4 400's per day.
I think from tomorrow, I will be buying 1 800 per day and whatever else I can afford after that, a 200 probably.
