This is a great game of hurling...neither side can put the other away when they go ahead. It will set either team up very well for the final, thats for sure. C'mon DLS!!!

To be fair its the ref's decision on time. The 1 minute board means he must play at least one minute injury time, but can play more if he feels its needed.

Gotta love Brenner the ....... Although it was Flynns fault for the last goal, couldnt control the ball I thought Brenner was going to cut open Flynn after it went in though only the Clarenbridge guy got in the way..
I dont blame the ref though, they always give the other team a few seconds chance while theyre on attack, he gave De La Salle a chance then too.

All in all pretty awful for DLS to lose, but that'd be Waterford in AI semis..

Not much you can say in situations like this one. To be 3 up at the end of 60 and 2 up at the end of 80 and still lose is very, very tough to take. It's absolutely heartbreaking for DLS but if there's any consolation for them, they played their part in one of the best club hurling games any of us have ever watched.

Cruel sums it up

Heart goes out to those DLS lads, an absolute epic and will go down as one of the greatest club games of all time. Lee Hayes point near the end was one of the best I've seen in Thurles..

Fair play to Clarinbridge they were never beaten and played right to the last puck...and well done to DLS, you can be proud of yourselves.

Absolutely sickened. The cruelest way to end the game. Doubt we will see a better game of hurling all year.

In terms of performances for Clarinbridge Mark and Alan Kerins were brilliant. Amazed at how fit Alan Kerins was, would put the Duracell bunny to shame. Their centre back whose name escapes me was also very good.

For DLS all the countymen were very good. Mullane knocking over points as usual and Moran really looks a intercounty standard centre back. Bull Phelan had a fine game too. The young guns of Dillon and Madigan were very impressive. Madigan really should have been starting, his cameos all along have suggested as much and scoring 1-3 today as a sub proved it.

While its disappointing DLS wont be bringing back AI honours to Waterford at least now the Waterford team will be strengthened for the rest of the league

A lot of people dont understand that, that is the rule, and not that there will only be the amount shown on the board.
